Donner Piano Keyboard 88 Keys, Beginner Digital Piano Velocity-Sensitive Keys, Portable Electric Piano with Stand, Sustain Pedal, Carrying Case and Keyboard Stickers, DEP-1

We bought this keyboard for my daughter taking piano lessons. It has the full 88 keys, and only piano sound. It also has a headphone jack so she can practice workout bothering anybody else in the home. --->After reading reviews, so many people said using the headphones made it TOO QUIET and you can hardly hear it... WE KNOW WHY! When using headphones with volume buttons on them, it doesn't work well at all. But we bought audio only headphones without any of the fancy stuff on it ($10 at a local electronics store) and IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY! So if you are having issues, buy the audio only headphones WITHOUT VOLUME CONTROL on them. The sound is great now and what a great price for a quality product.

Zero bells and whistles beyond recording short pieces, but it's a good starter for newbies who don't want to invest much. It comes with a charging cord, and I get 8-10 hours of play before I have to charge it. It also comes with a metal stand (assembly required), a plastic music stand that affixes to the top, a foot pedal, some piano learning stickers, and a cheap zipper case. The sound is definitely digital keyboard and not piano, but that's OK, especially for beginners, and the volume has 12 notches. Wired headphones needed for headphone listening. No learning curve, though, so you can just learn to play and not have to figure out how it works.

The keyboard itself is amazing. Both of my kids enjoy the keyboard, it’s lightweight for a keyboard, it has the fun beats and it’s very easy to use. I enjoyed the price range along with the brand when I purchased this because I knew it was going to be good quality in my price range especially for a child’s use. The oldest kid is seven and she’s taking piano lessons. I knew I wanted all 88 keys and I knew I wanted the stickers and the pedal. All needs were met and it sounds great! The bag is also really nice! My issue is with the stand. The instructions were awful and with lots of spelling mistakes with txt tlk included. All for the stand to look messed up. The part that hold the piano is not even with its mate. I took off the bars and redid it and it still isn’t even. I have flopped the bars around a couple times with no good results. Edit: finally understood the leg situation but the instructions are still junk but I did up my rating from three stars to four stars.

Perfect for kids and very helpful for learning/practice. Good quality and easy to use.

Please watch video to understand why I gave this keyboard a 1 out of 5 stars. The noise that you will hear is coming from the DEP-1. The Donner DEP-1 88 Key digital keyboard has good key sensitivity, some decent sounds and the 88 keys may bey just what some people are looking for. The keys are "Synth Weighted" which means springy and responsive but without the hefty feel of real piano keys. The DEP-1 has a USB port so you can connect to your computer for working with your DAW/Sequencer software. Over all I liked the DEP-1 but there is constant system buzz and noise that is heard constantly whether you use the built-in speakers or plug into a sound system. The noise is bad and ruins the usefulness of this keyboard. The noise comes through the speakers with the volume turned down to zero and even when using the USB port to trigger sound from DAW/sequencing software. I hate to do it but the Donner DEP-1 gets a 1 out of 5.

Bought for my wife’s birthday and she loves it.

My daughter is 8 years old and has been playing the Piano for about 1 year. While we have a large piano in the living room, we wanted something she could play in her room. This keyboard is perfect! It even has an option for headphones so she can practice when everyone in the house is still sleeping! The keys are smooth and this piano has been a great purchase! Make sure you read the details...the charging port is USB, not an electric plug which I thought it was. My fault, I didn't ready all the information.

Well, I found out just how good the sound was on this key board at the butt crack of dawn one morning when my kids had a full blown monster mash on this thing. It was easy to put together and plug in. Thank goodness it was not as expensive as other keyboards but still has a great sound quality. We used it for lessons, but now that my son has been waitlisted, he still loves to use it. It takes up hardly any space and it comes with a nice case, so you can put it away if you are not using it. It's a really great piano.

Very good if you're learnt to play.

Great for purpose, it’s long! So I have to slide it under the sofa in between my son’s piano lessons, but he’s getting on well with it. No complaints
