This cuticle nipper was typical of German engineering, precision cut & lightweight.I would recommend this nipper to anyone who is a fanatic about beautiful nails.I read the reviews that complained about this instrument not being sharp. I found the opposite to be true. It might have something to do with the angle at which they were trying to trim. It's all about proper angle. My beauty schooling still holds true after 52 years! Take care of your equipment & it will serve you well.My previous German made cuticle nipper lasted over 20 years! - And I manicure my natural nails most times twice a week! Love a good product!I hope to see longevity with this recent purchase.The only con was that it did not come with a case or sleeve to keep the blades protected.

Excellent quality but not sharp. Had to sharpen before use

This item was not sharp! I lived in Germany for many years and was well acquainted with the name and quality of the products from Solingen. I was extremely disappointed with this purchase as it was not even sharp enough to cut a piece of loose hanging skin, let alone a cuticle. Don't make my mistake thinking that this was a quality made product, save your money and end your frustration.
