I only have mac computers. how can i use the tracking software? is there alternative software?

As we mentioned in the listing, CMS software works on windows only. You can't use the tracking software in Mac. You can try to run windows system under your MAC system, no idea if it works. But you can try. Or you can set up by IR remote controller. Set preset 0, and preset 1, pls play preset 0 and preset 1 after setting, make sure you seting is done. After that, press F1 to start tracking, F2 to stop tracking.

will this work with ip protocol joysticks?

Yes, this auto tracking camera is working with IP protocol joystick. We suggest AVKANS Joystick controller, or PTZoptics Joystick controller.

Does this work with the ptzoptics superjoy-g1 joystick?

It should be ok since this camera also have standard VISCA and Pelco-D/P protocol.

What companion external microphone is suggested for use with this camera?

Rode wiressl go 2. This camera support 3.5mm audio input, output from IP streaming only. Audio is Not ok from HDMI/SDI/USB output, becuause tracking "take too much space". Hope you understand what I say.
