Great pickup but you also need the following items...
First, don't listen to all the answers here, this product was changed 2 years ago. The screen is now after the tube and not inside it, which will clog less, the connection has also changed from 3/8 to 1/4. You now need the following:A 1/4" NPT to 3/8" Barbbed connector in aluminum NOT brass. This can have an anti-siphen check valve or not. Only use one with a check valve if you really have to, if your fuel hoses go down bellow the top of your fuel tank. If your hose drops below the top of your tank for just a foot or not at all then opt for no check valve, they clog up easy and are usually problematic with old weak fuel pumps because they require about 2lbs of vacuum to operate, your primer bulb has 2 check valves inside already, don't add a third if it's not needed. Next, you will need FUEL pipe thread tape or paste. Do NOT use regular white Teflon tape, fuel eats right through that stuff. It must be meant for fuel and up to 15% ethanol. Wrap it 3-4 times around and it's good. If you have trouble removing the old pickup hose from the tank spray it with Deep Creep penatrating oil and come back to the project later. I had to keep using Deep Creep for 3 days before I could get it off. Expect it to not be a quick project. You might need to give it a few walks with a mallot or hammer, respray it again and come back the next day. It took me using 2 heavy duty long adjustable wrenches and 3 days of penetrating oil to get it free. The bottom wrench around the nut on my fuel tank and another on the pickup. This ensured I didn't break the fuel tanks nut connection, that would be a big issue if that happened. Good luck, you got this!

Know your connector type
Tommy's advice is great.Note that there's threaded and poplock types of connectors. Get the right one. This one is the threaded type. It feels well built. The screen at the end of the hose is done really well and the internal spring gives it a sturdy feel. Definitely a step up from the original that came with the boat. It's difficult to find information on this stuff online. I had luck googling the model number of the tank I'm working on. Good luck!

Made it work
Not exact replacement but was able to make it work. It right Length for my 27 gallon tank. Seems a lot better quality than the original plastic pickup tube that just fell apart

great fit, easy to install
I had to change the length of the hose to match the one on my Chaparral, but that process was quick and easy. the pickup strainer is a tight fit, which tells me it probably wasn't meant to the adjusted in length, but I managed to make it work.

Good quality fuel pickup with strainer
Long enough and flexible to rest on bottom of tank, strainer is long enough to not clog up.
