It has no problem charging my MacBook Pro while simultaneously powering my phone, tablet, earbuds, and other USB-C devices. Charging speeds have been consistently fast, and I haven't noticed any performance issues when multiple ports are in use. I’ve had this charging station for a few years now, and it has been incredibly reliable. Fantastic quality. This thing feels solid and functions perfectly. I was so happy with the first that I bought a second one. I've been using them daily for many months now with zero issues. Just the right ports and simultaneous charging power for my needs in a charging station. And it feels amazing - great build quality. Anker has been a solid brand for me across multiple products. I've never had a bad experience with their charging products (I did get a lemon in another unrelated Anker product, but that's another story). I don't think you can go wrong with this charger!

Loving this charging station so far! Anker products haven’t let me down yet and this one is no exception. It’s very well built and heavy, which I like because it suggests to me that it has good quality components and lots of heat dissipation ability. Even when maxed out and charging my MacBook Pro, and a myriad of other devices, it didn’t skip a beat and doesn’t get very hot. With this I can really charge everything I want and quickly. Only thing I wish it had was a display to show what realtime output is for each port, but to get that it would be larger and cost more. Of course they have that functionality in other models they sell. My work around is that I have a few cables that display the wattage they’re pushing, so I can get a good sense of what the charger is doing. It’s great to see how it ramps the power up slowly at the beginning or charging and then tapers it off once a battery is almost fully charged or is getting hot! That’s exactly what I want to see. I can’t recommend this highly enough if you’re someone like me who’s constantly charging things such as drones, cameras, laptops, power banks, action cameras, phones and tables, etc. There are lots of companies that sell similar charging stations that have more ports, promise higher wattage output, or a cheaper price, but honestly most of the time I don’t think they’re worth it as they seems to not last as long, present a possible fire hazard and also aren’t necessarily as smart and nice to your devices batteries. I rather go with a brand I trust and Anker is definitely one of those.

The "Power" Problem with Workstations: However, I bought this to simplify my desk setup and charge my Dell Precision 3551 workstation via USB-C. Despite the charger's massive 200W total capacity and the single port's ability to output 100W, my Dell laptop triggered a BIOS/System warning: "The AC power adapter wattage and type cannot be determined. The system will adjust the performance to match the power available." Why this happened: It seems that professional-grade laptops like the Dell Precision 3551 require a proprietary handshake or a full 130W+ via the original barrel plug to run at full speed. While the Anker Prime is a beast, it couldn't satisfy the "power hunger" of this specific workstation, leading to throttled CPU performance and slow battery charging. Cons: May not be recognized as a "full-speed" charger by high-end Dell workstations that demand proprietary power levels. Verdict: If you have a MacBook, a standard ultrabook, or multiple gadgets, this is the best charger on the market. But if you have a powerhouse workstation like a Dell Precision, don't expect it to fully replace your bulky original power brick. It’s great for a "travel backup," but my Dell simply refused to work at 100% capacity with it.

I've bought at least a half dozen USB multi-port chargers or USB charging stations for laptops and other devices over the years. This included at least 3 USB-C PD charging systems for laptops, for the last couple of years I've been carrying around an old Cable Matters with 3 USB-A, 1 USB-C PD as my travel charger when taking long trips. It worked but the port selection and power capability was limited and the Anker Prime 200W is my new favorite. I bought one on Prime Day and might get another for the work office and maybe another for the home office. Why? The specifications say a lot, 2 USB-A ports for legacy devices and 4 USB-C ports for modern devices. 200 Watt capability and multiple USB-C PD fast charging ports means that the family doesn't need to argue over who is getting the one high speed connection. More specifically, why the Anker 200W charger: 1. First of all, it is offered at a great price compared to other "brand name" chargers with similar capability like UGreen which is about double the price. There are a lot of "no-name" power stations for even less but I would feel a little nervous about leaving those plugged in 24x7. 2. It does not have flat plug. This isn't a pro for everyone and may be a non-issue or con for some for some. In my use case, we have an outlet underneath our couch that needs to be a straight, traditional plug and this is one of the few competing chargers that still has a straight plug. 3. The split of 2 and 4 (USB-A vs. C) seems good for our mix of new and legacy devices for the next several years. Of course the more ports the better but this is good. 4. In standby or with lower power draw it doesn't get warm. Like the new Gallium Nitride chargers! I'm thinking of also getting one for a 10 seat conference room at my office. It would be nice for many people to be able to plug in their devices simultaneously. Specifically, 2 or 3 non-gaming laptops during long work meetings. One interesting item is that it doesn't have a light to include that it is on. Somewhat surprising and an unobtrusive light might be nice but it would also mean that it is easier to use in a bedroom or hotel room setting. Traveling with this will also be a nice use case, especially for family travel. Likely to just throw in a suitcase though given the weight rather than carry around in my laptop bag. Some other reviews complain that it is unable to provide more than 50W of power to each USB-C port while trying to charge higher power devices. (I really like the use of a device for displaying power from Brian T.!) I haven't tested that yet but my laptops are all lower power draws (14" non-gaming laptops) so I don't think that this will be much of an issue in my use cases at home or the office. Might almost be a feature to not have to worry about one gaming laptop sucking up most of the power and leaving the others unable to charge at enough power. Who is it for: 1. People with a mix of new and legacy USB-C devices. 2. People that need a straight power plug. 3. Budget conscious Who is it NOT for: 1. People with demanding gaming/high performance laptops. 2. People looking for a lightweight charger to carry around daily in their shoulder bag. 3. People that need a flat plug to go behind furniture. The Anker 200W met all my expectations when I purchased it. It seems very durable and expect it to be reliable for many years.

Great high power charger charged up my twin underwater scooters in a short time, which require high wattage. It feels very well made and has ample outlets. I'm holding back a star only because I just got it today and only used it once. I need to test drive it longer. But as far as I can tell, this charging station is a great tool that I will get tons of use from. I've got good experiences with Anker products. So I expect this will continue that trend.

Excellent charger. Very quick heavy duty I run both of my HP laptops off of it simultaneously and charged my remarkable it runs extremely cool. Seems very robust. It’s definitely not the size of a travel charger and the weight would be an issue for some people. So happy for the purchase. Got discount, great product, so handy and portable in size but so powerful, i can charge 2 laptop together without any power deficiency. Only improvement for future maybe, at least to add a small LED indicator for power On. On Off switch would be great too.
