Outstanding debut!!
Wow. Wow. Wow.This book had me gripped from the beginning. Lauren I absolutely salute you!!! What an amazing debut book and start to a series. You can guarantee I'm going to be diving straight into the second asap!!!So Where do I even start. Well we have Jonas and Sarah who's chemistry is off the chart before they even meet!! This book is so well written...you can feel the pull of the characters, you can feel the struggles and anticipation building through them throughout the book. They have back stories that are explained really well and not rush, none of the book is rushed it goes at a great pace..Jonas gives a whole new hot as hell meaning to the alphabet... Sarah likes the "T" Haha!!!This book could have easily been a standalone story but I'm sooo glad there is more. I'm mega into Jonas and Sarah! The ending was unexpected, it's not a major cliffhanger but definitely glad the 2nd book is out now to continue, I don't think I could have waited!!Brilliant read!!!

Fab read that I couldn't put down, a perfect game of cat and mouse
The Club (The Club #1) by Lauren Rowe4.5 stars!!“‘For a man to conquer himself is the first and noblest of all victories.’”This is the first book of a trilogy and also a debut book. Book 2 The Reclamation releases on 26th January and book 3 The Redemption on 9th February, so you do not have long to wait for a complete series!“Plato wasn’t telling me to avoid it. He was telling me to embrace it.”This book was such a surprise and a total addictive read, I could not put it down. We all love a man that needs “fixing,” I think I have an inherent need to try and help myself even though all I am doing is reading about them and Jonas Faraday was no exception. As soon as you meet Jonas, you can tell just by his dialogue that he is definitely not your usual upstanding, man you take home to meet mom kind of guy. He comes across as conceited, arrogant, and cocky and has a massive ego but if you can read between the lines you can see that this is all a façade.Jonas is a man that feels he does not have the propensity to love or be loved. He believes that he is truly happiest flitting from one night stand to one stand as long as he achieves what he believes is his mission in life, and that is to make his “women” see stars, to give them the best night of their life, to ruin them for all others, to bring them to the upper echelons of sexual satisfaction and this man can back up his manifesto!! Through tireless research on the female mind, body and soul he has truly done his groundwork. He works hard and runs an investment company with this Uncle and twin brother but something is missing and that something…Jonas doesn’t even know its missing…yet.Jonas’s brother joins “The Club” and soon recommends it to his brother. This is a club where individuals register to find like suited individuals. The application form wants to know the ins and outs of everything and requires honesty, this is where this story begins…Jonas completing his form and he is honest, extremely honest. Once his application has been vetted and he has paid the exorbitant joining fee, he will be set to go.“Sex is supposed to be the truth, the most real and raw and honest and primal expression of the human experience. And orgasm, by its very nature, is the height, the very culmination of that honesty.”At the other end of a PC Sarah is a struggling law student and she works hard to keep up being near the top of her class so that she can continue with her scholarship. She struggles to make ends meet so has taken a job vetting applications to “The Club.” She has to ensure the authenticity of the application, confirm the identity of the person making the application, research the person making the application and analyse their suitability. Her first application unsupervised is Jonas Faraday; his application surprises her and intrigues her at the same time. Sarah is “broken” too, she has her issues and she has some problems of her own, but if Jonas Faraday is the man that he claims to be he could be the answer to all her problems, it doesn’t help that he is drop dead gorgeous to boot and just looking at him causes her to feel a burn. And so begins the best game of cat and mouse I have read for a very long time. I loved the banter, the wit and humour, the musical references, the quotes, hell I just loved it all. The way the story developed, their relationship developed, how they both realise their issues and try together to overcome them. How they both seem to incessantly know what the other needs, what they need to hear, just the right thing at the right time. I felt the connection, I felt their chemistry, and I just loved them as a couple and was rooting for them from the start.“Sarah Cruz is about to learn one of the immutable laws of nature, a principle as immovable and unavoidable as the theory of relativity or Boyle’s law of gases or mother**king gravity. It’s called Faraday’s law of attraction and it goes a little something like this: When Jonas Faraday wants a particular woman, Jonas Faraday shall have her. And in this particular instance, Jonas Faraday wants the magnificent Sarah Cruz. End of f**king story.”I will admit this a kind of instalust which I know is a turn off for some readers, but this has never happened to Jonas, so seeing him battle with his emotions and these totally alien feelings was not only hilarious and entertaining but also tugged at my heart strings. Underneath that false bravado and that cocky heartless façade, a man who feels he could never fit the “Hallmark Card” brief is a man that tops it. To see him “romance” and “woo” was not only heart-warming but burned him into my heart and soul. I love Jonas Faraday. I know I have a penchant for the “broken” man, but this man just steam rollered himself in there and I fear he will be a permanent resident.“I’m either a sexual sniper with a rampant God complex or I’m f**king Nicholas Sparks. I can’t be both.”For a debut author this was a fantastic read, totally absorbing, a perfect blend of humour, angst and heat and it was un-put-down-able. Once I started I couldn’t stop and stayed up late to finish. There was something about this couple that got me hook, line and sinker and I cannot wait for the next book in this series. This is just the beginning for Jonas and Sarah, but will “The Club” leave them be?“You’re everything I never knew I always wanted.”

Surprisingly very good
From the stupid front cover, I can say that I wasn't expecting very much from this book. I was happily wrong. The story is quite real, the two main characters have an enormous amount of sparkling chemistry and banter that lifts straight off the page and I enjoyed how they were both as damaged as each other but could help each out with their individual issues. Looking forward to the next!

AMAZING!!! MUST READ x
I absolutely loved The Club And Jonas! Could not put it down for a second! From the word get go this book pulled me into it's hot and steamy world. It was like we were then in our own little bubble! And when a book does that for me it gets full marks. I wouldn't compare The Club to any other Erotic book i've read because there simply is NOT any others out there that even close to being as amazing as The club. I've read 50 shades,Crossfire and the Hacker series which don't get me wrong are all great but i'm sorry Jonas beats them all hands down. woohoo.Well done Lauren your fantastic, Iv'e said it before and i'll say it again. WHERE IN GODS NAME HAVE YOU BEEN?! .Off to read book two now, I can already tell it will be epic.

loved it
Smiled through out the goofiness of the book . Would I be reading the rest of the series ? NO because although it was funny to read it was not very well plotted or developed . But still I enjoyed this book .

Jonas... swoon.
In an effort to ready myself for the release of the fourth book, THE CULMINATION, I decided to re-read The Club. I realized I never wrote a review for it the first time I read it. Shame on me. And I'm about to make a bold statement here, and it's a pretty big deal.So here goes. Ahem. I LOVED this book. I mean everything about it. In fact... I would list it as my favorite romance novel. Ever. And I've read a lot of romances. This one far exceeds any of them. Why? Well, first off, the writing is almost flawless. The story was original, which is incredibly difficult to find. There is complicated psychology intricately woven throughout the book, and it is executed beautifully. There are hot, steamy scenes, even from the first chapter, and those first scenes don't include actual sex. There were times I chuckled, times I teared up and many times I fanned myself. The characters were brilliant, not just brilliantly written, but actually intelligent. I. Loved. It.And speaking of loved... Jonas. Wow. I loved this ancient-philosophizing, dirty-speaking, fierce-loving man who may be a little (okay, a lot) cocky, but has a little-boy vulnerability that melts my heart. He is driven, smart and sexy. An alpha, sure, but not a controlling-jerkish alpha. He finds beauty in a bold woman, so much so it drives him to obsessive tendencies, but not in a creepy way (like other novels).I loved Sarah, too. She was perfect for my cocky-but-wounded hero. Smart, strong, sassy... The only girl good enough to interest Jonas in a permanent relationship. She and I would be good friends, but that probably wouldn't last long once she saw how much I loved her man. I dunno, she's the kind of girl who might find it endearing.I have recommended this series to many friends and will continue to do so. I know personal preference is key to good reviews, and this book is like Ms. Rowe climbed into my head and read my mental checklist of all the things I want in a book. Kudos, love. Keep it up.

Best Books Ever
I started this series because I saw an "ad" on facebook, was in between books and thought what the heck I will give it a try. Best decision I ever made. Lauren made me feel like I was part of the story and right there with Sarah and Jonas. I couldn't put it down and loved every part of it.

Interesting story with witty email banter and dialogues
This book, storyline and writing, was unlike anything I've ever read and the story pulled me in from the first chapter. There was wit, brutal honesty, angst and drama, the steam factor was off the charts, and the chemistry between H and h was palpable. It has a sassy, hysterical, witty heroine and an adorable, gorgeous, poetic hero.I loved Sarah's quick wit, her sarcastic comebacks, and her strength. Jonas was honest, cocky, uber selfconfident concerning his sexual prowess, philosophical, and plain swoon worthy.Jonas definitely made it on my list of book boyfriends, and Sarah is also on my list of top strong, resilient, independent-minded female main characters. It was nice to have both POV's in this story and I loved being able to see into Jonas' inner workings.Honesty was a major theme in this book and it enhanced the romance brewing between Sarah and Jonas. Too often, lack of being honest causes conflicts in books just to develop the story. Here, though, the characters were open and honest although that wasn't an easy accomplishment. Sarah and Jonas both have significant and justifiable trust issues. The book ends with a cliff-hanger, that is an interesting twist and not the usual break-up.Must have on your kindle.

The Club trilogy - all 3 books The Club, The Reclamation and The Redemption. by Lauren Rowe
I loved this whole story - from start to finish it drew me in and kept me enthralled till the very end. Jonas - the love God and the unfulfilled Sarah. She challenges Jonas as a bit of cheeky emailing and he says he can teach her - will she accept!! This is a thrilling,, erotic adventure and there is danger around as well just to keep you intrigued. Can this possibly work out given all of their personal hang-ups. Take this thrilling journey and find yourself laughing, sighing, crying and loving your way along with these two and some other fascinating characters you find who only add more to this story - who knows - there could be more stories in there. One of the very best trilogies I have read and delivered so quickly in succession. Don't miss out on this book - you will love it to bits.
