Then stopped forever. I don't even understand why.It was connected to my work laptop, didn't move for 4h then I got disconnected; I thought my VPN had gone wrong or something like that but after triple checking everything I decided to try a regular network cable and it worked just fine.I subsequently tried twice to use this cable and it just doesn't work at all anymore.I though it was too cheap to return or do anything about it since it will take time so it is in a drawer until I throw it away which should be any-time soon. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Weak terminal connections *by S***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 7 October 2012* A neat design and a good length of cable. The downside is the connection to the plug is not particularly strong. Given a few very slight tugs (almost inevitable in normal usage) and now end is quite temperamental. ### ⭐ So poor *by H***M on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 4 June 2012* I wasnt expecting much for £5 but this was possibly the worst item i have every bought...Dont buy this item, it states it retractable, well technically it is but only if your happy to manually feed the cable back in, there is some sort of switch on top which I hoped would do the retraction but nope, it doesnt do anything.I binned it within the 10 minutes..Please dont waste your money. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/63224117-dealmux-8-ft-feet-2-5m-rj45-cat5-cat-5](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/63224117-dealmux-8-ft-feet-2-5m-rj45-cat5-cat-5) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
