Exactly as described and brings back so many memories,the screen is tiny but you can still tell what you have to do on it.i will definitely buy another one and their definitely value for money.its a fun little game to play and is easy to use

If you like looking after you child's toys so they don't cry, I couldn't recommend this more. You are able to mute it by pressing two buttons together - I won't tell you which two, I feel that is part of parent initiation. Good luck soldier.

The nostalgia feels are real , remember having one of these as a kid and being the hero of the school as kept mine alive for so long then one day gave my mum one job to do and feed my little blobbert and clean his poop whilst we went on a trip .... Came home to sadness as she just left him all day bathing in his own stink and he left this world far too early . Saw these have had a bit of a revival in recent years and there are many to choose from the basic to funky flashy screens with colour but I thought I'd stick to what I know. I'm on my own for the most part an deal with physical and mental health problems so it's sometimes hard to keep your mind busy without doom scrolling or staring into space . So I had this crazy little idea of giving myself something extra to do in the day and picked one of these up . Straight away it brought a little smile and within minutes I'm having to feed play and clean again and it brings a little joy to the day . These are simple to use and easy to get to grips with with each command , the tamagotchi does have a beep setting when ready for feeding or other activities , you just set the clock and within about 5 minutes you are ready to go and be kept busy with your virtual pet . The downside of these could be one of 2 things , firstly this gen is fairly small so if you have big hands or struggle to grip things it could be an issue , and secondly there is no backlight so being an LCD screen unless you are in the correct lighting it can be difficult to see as there are no brightness settings until the V5 I believe . However these are a perfect gift for practically anyone I'd say over the age of 8 , whether it's for someone like me who spends a lot of time alone , or if you want to teach kids in a fun way about responsibility, time keeping and caring I think they are a great little device. Especially this time a year at Christmas

Bought this for my daughter who was 12 at the time. Loved the novelty of it but didnt last. I took over and had lots of fun with. Brought back lots of memories. ;-)

My daughter (9) asked for one for Christmas she has been obsessed with it since but it seems it’s now run it’s course.. the pet only ever lives to 7 and dies even Responding to every command, the game you have to play is one one and is very repetitive, biggest downfall is no back light so is very dark and incredibly hard to see.

This has brought many hours enjoyment for my daughter and many hours of peace for me. Great buy 👍

Granddaughter loved this, brought it for her birthday.

Arrived already on which was fine. However neither the left or right buttons really worked. Looks like a broken item sent back and sold again, not impressed.

Cool de faire découvrir ce produit de mon enfance à ma fille. Je l’ai pris pour ma fille de 5 ans et demi, afin de la dégourdir avec les jeux « électroniques » car elle n’a pas accès aux consoles de jeux ni aux PC. Les + : - elle a vite compris le principe (ce que j’appréhendais vu son jeune âge) et réussi à lui donner seule à manger, éteindre la lumière quand il dort, nettoyer ses 💩 - il évolue tous les 2 jours, atteint son évolution maximale en environ 1 semaine, ce qui est cool pour les enfants de cet âge (pas trop long) - responsabilise l’enfant qui doit s’en occuper pour ne pas qu’il tombe malade ou meurt - la nuit il dort (de mémoire pendant 12 heures) donc il ne réveille pas l’enfant - l’écran (oui à l’ancienne et pixelisé) qui n’est pas rétro éclairé, l’enfant ne peut pas le regarder dans le noir, il faut être à la lumière. Les - : - il sonne quand il va dormir et au début quand il a des besoins (impossible de retirer le son) donc si votre enfant fait des temps calme, pensez de le retirer de sa chambre - uniquement pendant les vacances scolaires ici car nécessite de s’en occuper 4/6 fois dans la journée. - le jeu (ma fille trop jeune pour comprendre le principe mais facile, je pense que dès le CP/CE1 c’est ok). En somme, un chouette partage intergénérationnel, ma fille l’adore mais pour nous, à petites doses. On le laisse au placard et on le ressort de temps à autre.
