Provides great shade, and lets the breeze through too!
Best shade for the $. It took a little trial and error to get the two sails I bought set up, but it was well worth it. These are quite literally “sails” in the sense they will catch wind and rain if your angle isn’t steep enough for water run-off or if you don’t have them properly tied down. I used two strong anchor points into the end of the trusses through my facia and made the 3rd and highest attachment point with a ratchet strap to a tree to make sure it wouldn’t catch water. Some other types of “shade sails” are permeable and allow water to seep through, so if you’re trying to hang a shade sail flat or close to it, I would recommend that kind(if it rains in your area). I live in Florida, it’s gets hot and rains, but these sails not only block the sun, but the rains too. You could stand under this in a downpour and not get wet. They are also very aesthetically pleasing, gives a flowy nautical vibe. They are strong enough to consider taking them down for a hurricane thinking they would rip the facia off of my house. I bought two, at separate times, and the older one is slightly mildewed, but it would be easily washed with a soft brush and soapy water..

Durable and Beautiful
These sails are amazing. They cooled off my cement deck by around 20-30 degrees on a hot day. Very durable. The second night we had them up, we had a wild thunderstorm with 80 mph wind gusts, 2 1/2 inches of rain and golf ball size hail. I watched as they wildly whipped 3 feet in the air and then as the hail accumulated they hung down from 7 feet to about 4 foot off the ground. I just knew they would be ruined but as soon as the hail melted, they popped right back up to 7 foot without a single hole. Very, very impressed.

Confused
I purchased a sail several months ago to test the fit and length and liked it over the winter. So, I bought another one - same product from the same "Justforcool" vendor - but the second and subsequent sails have been a completely different material. It's more porous and looks like cheaply(er)-woven fabric. On the package itself, it lists 185 and 160 GSM. I'm presuming that I initially received the higher quality and have since received the lesser so. I'd love to get the same product I did at first to finish covering my rooftop. Otherwise, this feels like a hit or miss product.PS - the photo of the sail in the sky is the original, superior sail.

Very happy customer here!
I love how these sails have enhanced the empty space on the side of my house. It has turned an otherwise unusable space into a cozy second patio. With the addition of some string lights it is now quite inviting.I do highly recommend using steel cable with turnbuckles for added longevity and stability versus the short vinyl ropes that are provided.

Great Shade & Durable!
On a recent visit with friends who moved to Phoenix, AZ, I decided that their new home's patio needed a little afternoon sun protection. This worked perfectly and provided relief from the afternoon sun. Order the installation kit that Amazon recommends and this shade will withstand most sand storms and monsoons. They just texted me yesterday that they lost a tree in their back yard during a storm, but the shade is still holding strong.

TIGHTEN YOUR SAIL!!
I put this sail up, then a nasty windblowing t-storm rolled in & filled up the middle of the sail causing it to droop low over the pool. I didnt have it tight enough, but kudos to the manufacturer for making this material Florida storm ready! There were easily 30 gallons of water in the drooping canopy and zero rips or tears after storm.

Sun shade for toddler play area
I’ve had this product installed for about 5 days, and so far so good! We love the shade it provides for my son’s play area in our backyard. Make sure you buy the hardware that is needed in order to properly install it. It took my dad a bit over an hour to put it together.

Just survived hurricane Laura!. inexpensive and durable
I installed this over an above ground pool to keep the sun from heating it up too much and give some shade while you are in it.I rated the install lower because the nylon "rope" is not good enough. I had to get some steel cable and some additional heavier duty hardware to properly tension it.Hurricane Laura just passed through here (North Louisiana) and I left it up to see how it would do. I watched it get a pretty good whipping around and it was still standing after the storm passed with no damage. I will have to re-tension it but not a big deal. The ropes that came with it probably would not have held up like the steel cables did.So overall I am very pleased with the purchase price and durability and can definitely recommend it.

Defective weaving in the mess
The mesh for this shade sail was defective, with several large holes. When completing the return process, the seller did not proved a postage-paid return label. And a reminder to myself to always check the "ships from" info. This product comes from the US, with additional return postage required.
