I have used a couple of nontoxic options. One did not clean and the other had a very perfume-y scent. Truly Free performance surprised me. It has no scent or what I would call a "clean" scent. No harsh chemicals and it gets the dishes clean without any residue or water spots. I have been using Truly Free for several months. I decided to subscribe and save now that I know how well it works.

Outstanding job at cleaning dishes. I pre-rinse way less than before and the dishes come out residue-free and shiny. Personally, I’m happy paying a little extra for the results.

I have off‑the‑charts hard water, the kind that usually laughs at dishwasher detergents and leaves a cloudy film just to mock me. This powder? It works fantastically. No film left behind, no dull dishes, no weird residue — everything comes out clean without needing any boosters.One thing I love: it contains citric acid, which is amazing for hard water. I used to add citric acid separately to clean my dishwasher, but I don’t need to anymore. This detergent handles it all on its own.It’s fragrance‑free, plant‑based, and plastic‑free, which is exactly what I want. And despite being a powder, it dissolves perfectly and cleans better than half the “eco” detergents I’ve tried.Bonus tip for anyone using any dishwasher:Prop the door open when the cycle finishes. It helps the dishwasher dry out and keeps bacteria from getting cozy in there.Overall, this detergent does exactly what it claims — and it does it well.Five stars from me.

This might seem pricey, but it takes very little for one load. I am shocked at how clean and SHINY my dishes are!!!!!!!!!!!! No more toxic ingredients

😲OH MY GOSH!!!!I had to stop everything I was doing to write this review.On my first use of this powder, I was meticulously inspective, discerning any residual condition in which the new product might have left. I did not see any film or grease anywhere. But I wanted to give it more than one use to take effect, just in case prolonged use gave different results, after switching from my prior amway brand.On this second dishwashing - I noticed something INCREDIBLE!!! The normal grease left behind in my dishwasher and left on all the plastic items in the wash (like a magnet) WAS NO LONGER THERE!! I used to have to alternate my quick washes, and save all the plastic that had been washed already but was grease-filmed to a separate wash on high heat to try to get it all off them, and it still wouldn't do a very good job. I thought it was the hot water/our dishwasher that was the problem, but I see items NOW that are the cleanest I've ever seen them, before!!!! 🤯 Turns out, it was my dishwashing tablets, of before!!! They were just lacking. Honestly, shocking!!!NOW EVERYTHING GETS CLEAN on a normal/quick run, and I don't have to carefully select what goes into my dishwasher - greasy items vs plastic, etc etc etc. I can just trust that everything will actually get clean!! 😭 How much mental clarity is added, and the run cycles this will save!!!! WOOOHOOOO!!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I still have some of my former brand, because I wasn't sure if this would work well, or not, to lean back on... now I just don't want to go back at all!! I'm ordering the max at the best deals, from now on!!!Sidenotes: I have a whirlpool dishwasher, and have never remotely considered big brands with all their trash chemicals and toxicity to be in my household. I hunted high and low for a trustworthy product with good content, and I'm so glad I read through all the reviews I did. Nothing looked reliable, until I finally found this listing, many pages and search modifications later.

I love that this is clean and non toxic, with limited ingredients. I have tried a few different brands and this one does not leave residue and actually cleans dishes. It does dissolve and it actually even works on harder grime.The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it clumps easily in the bag with any type of condensation. I have to remember to put the cleaner in BEFORE I start putting in the dishes so my hands don’t get wet.

WOWZA!!!! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the very best product accuracy I’ve ever purchased. This product does what it states nIt’s fabulous! Cleanest dishes ever! ZERO residue n my dishwasher machine is sparkling clean inside n fresh clean smell … I never realized how awful cascade n similar products were n all my life used these inferior products .. there was always a slight film that I never really paid attention to until I found this on a reel n decided to try it n see if it really made a dif , im astonished how sparkling clear all dishes but especially my glass bowls comes out … i really thought it would be just like almost all new n improved or “ green / non toxic “ products wind up just being hype .. not this product it’s a must buy! Worth the $ ! Do not hesitate to purchase this n switch to healthy clean dishes.

I’m really impressed with this dishwasher detergent! It left my dishes sparkling clean, and the powder dissolved completely with no residue left behind. It’s very easy to use, and I appreciate that it comes with a measuring scoop, just one scoop is all you need for a full load. The BEST, BEST, BEST powder dishwasher soap ever!!!!There is no chemical smell when you open up the machine after each wash.The dishes and silverware are always spotless and clean, no left over smudges or food.I will continue to buy this product.

This soap is amazing! I was using a toxic soap brand that was leaving residue on my dishes.. my glassware looked cloudy and no amount of washing was getting rid of it. First time I used this on a full dishwasher, used only 3/4 of the measuring spoon instead of the recommended 1 full spoon.. my dishes came out so clean, the film on the glasses was completely gone. I feel so comfortable now using my dishes, knowing I'm not consuming toxic stuff every time I drink water

This stuff is great ! Works as good (or better) as any detergent I’ve used before but without all the toxic garbage . Highly recommend!

Great product BUT packaging needs improvement. At this price I would have appreciated if the seal actually worked. Instead the bag is always open. Not the right kind or seal for a powder product.
