Milwaukee M18 Fuel 18-Volt 8 in. Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Metal Cutting Circular Saw (Tool-Only)

Many years ago I had purchased a cheap foreign made metal cutting saw and the drive shaft snapped on the first cut. I had stayed away from the metal cutting saws for many years after that, but recently I had another situation where I needed a saw for cutting steel and decided to give the Milwaukee a try. The saws does not disappoint, but you really want the 12ah battery for best performance. The only downside is, in spite of having a chip catcher, a considerable amount of chips still get sprayed around. The saw is best used outside.

Awesome saw, but you have to setup a guide sense you can't see the blade while cutting. Clean cuts and cuts effortlessly thru 1/2 inch steel. I would also get the 12ah forge battery if you're going to be cutting a lot.

This cuts through 3/8 like butter, especially good for cutting thinner material

This thing is an absolute beast! I’ve ripped through several sheets of 1/4 inch diamond plate steel like it was plywood. Super powerful, smooth, and built like a tank. Honestly, I wish I’d bought it sooner it’s a little pricey, but worth every single penny. Milwaukee nailed it with this one!

Purchased this metal cutting saw for my business, and because the price couldn’t be beat! The saw itself is exactly what you’d imagine of Milwaukee. It’s slightly bigger than the carpenter saw, mostly wider. It feels good in the hand and all its moving parts function smoothly. Not too heavy given it’s a metal cutting saw, and it’s built durable just like all my other Milwaukee Fuel tools.
