Cade and Redix just about broke my heart. I was sobbing at points with this poignant love story. I could feel the pain in my heart, wishing for their happily ever after. Laughter, tears, anger, shock, hope, and love are just some of the emotions I went through on my reading journey. A love that spanned time, Cade and Redix are utter perfection. The spicy times are beyond scorching, hot enough to melt the polar ice cap.Their love began at an early age, suffered a tragedy in their teenage years, and then resumed ten years later in their late twenties. They have always loved each other through all this heartbreak, never wanting to believe their love didn't survive. When the opportunity is presented for them to reconnect, they must navigate the past carefully while ensuring they don't rock the cart. Candy Cade has always been Redix's one true love. Cade Bryant and Redix have a past so vast that they both are broken when he leaves for 10 years to protect them both from the truth of a night they are both dying to forget. However, his leaving only destroyed them both in the process. Now Redix is back, but can he and Cade fight through their past? Y’all this book was not only hot 🥵 but it was also filled with so much drama and suspense! I felt so connected to these characters and loved and hated them at times. Redix is so broken that I just wanted to put him back together myself, and he’s also so dang hot, but at times I wanted to kick him to the curb and say adios. Cade is such a bad***, she’s so determined and focused to get what she wants and nothing is going to stop her. Can’t wait to see how their journey continues!

Did I love Cade and Redix? Yes, I did! But lord did they keep my head on a swivel with all their back and forth!It felt like they were magnets fighting against the pull of each other while simultaneously still reaching for one another. When they were good, it was so sweet and loving and spicy as hell but when they were not, it's like you wanted to close your eyes so you wouldn't witness the crash. And also, that weird scene when Cades parents show up just when her anger has finally boiled over and she was ready to risk it all?! Really?I was definitely a fan of most of it and will most likely read the next one. A reading experience is good, for me, when you do have questions about what you read.

This book is about two people, Redex and Cade who were madly in love when they were teenagers until Redex left unexpectedly. Redex left for ten years until he shows up at a sponsor ball leaving Cade reeling with memories.Review: This book was a cross between a sweet romance and smut. If it was just the romance I'd have rated it a five of five but then you have the very raunchy smut. I don't understand why authors want to let out their deepest darkest most vulgar fantasies in a book. It's quite disgusting. This book had a sweet young love between Cade and Redex. The book goes through their memories and the hardships they've faced. It shows you how much they love each other and what their willing to do to fight for each other. It's sweet and heartbreaking. Personally I found Redex a toxic entity. He needs help. More help than Cade can give. All goey and touchy without Hallmark. But between this love story you have all the disgusting sex scenes. Yuck. Ruins it personally. I was really really wishing this was a sweet romance but the author chose to ruin it. It's a shame.My rating is a three because it's decent. A decent book that was ruined by smut.
