I was torn between this one and the expensive German bread slicer. I’m pleasantly surprised how well this slices bread, and it’s very sturdy. Especially great are the suction cups, they literally hold this slicer in place even on a wooden cutting board! I don’t usually write reviews, but this slicer was worth every penny since I bake a lot of sourdough and it’s really great at cutting that!

Waste of $100. It came and the adjustable guide was ripped out of the wood so being the handy man I am, I drilled out the spring hole to fit a little farther back and drilled new holes for the adjustable knob. Worked great for 2-3 loaves. Next thing you know the bolt that holes the blade completely sheared off and blade fell off. Don’t waste your money

I loooove making sourdough, but slicing artisan style with the extra crispy crust can be a nightmare and downright dangerous sometimes. This wonderful slicer is worth every penny I spent! Love it to pieces! Easy to clean, sticks perfectly to the counter with the suction cups, is attractive, and makes slicing bread an absolute breeze. With the adjustable size and easy to use knob, it's a sourdough lover's dream come true. Prior to buying I had attempted to slice my loaves with both an automatic serrated knife and a standard well-honed bread knife with zero luck. Not only did I nearly sever my finger several times when the knives slid off, but the slices were not even remotely consistent in depth. This beautiful unit provides perfectly sliced and uniform pieces. So glad I bought this, and I absolutely recommend this to anyone into the harder and more stout breads! You won't regret spending a few extra bucks, I promise.

I started baking bread for my grandchildren because they love square bread. This is the third bread slicer that I have purchased because it was so difficult to get even slices. This slicer works the best of the three, but it came with no instructions for use or care. It would be nice to know if I can get a replacement blade if necessary since it was a significant investment. I do like that the slice adjustment is infinite because I like the bread to be as thin as possible and it does NOT slip during use, the suction cups are supersonic. Overall, a good investment, I feel like this slicer will be around a long time.

I am sure will work on bread with hard crust, does not work well or stay in place when trying to use it. Went back to knife

This slicer is worth every dollar! It beats an electric slicer hands down! I have used this several times and it consistently slices easily. It stays put on the counter with suction cups that work. It is small enough that is stores easily in the cabinet. Very simple and easy to use. Slice thickness is adjusted by a knob that slides the blade, but unfortunately, it doesn’t lock in and will easily move. It looks well made and should last a long time. The blade is sharp and serrated.

Blade wobbles causing consistent, uneven cuts. base has suction cups, which is good for sticking it down, but does nothing for lateral motion. It slides right across the table. You need to put something behind it to stop it but then the base is too short for example lIf you put it up against the wall, you’re knuckles hit the wall when you try to turn the cut wheel. Please please please buy something different.

So I bought this for my wife because she bakes round sourdough as well as loaves of bread. This has changed her bread slices from inconsistent thickness to sliced perfection. It has suction cups on the bottom to hold it in place on the counter, and they work as they should. Cleaning is easy and the build quality is great. Will last for years to come!

Did not slice my sourdough. Hard to use and slid around the counter. Returned it

The slicer is a simple device that is supposed to last for year, that means it should work without any trouble. However, the slicer came with loose base, cutting blade and handle, the little adjustment for the thickness of the slice was not holding in place. Considering high price and high expectations this item was a big disappointment. I have decided to return this item on the arrival date.

Looks can be desciving. This thing is poop. Doesn't cut straight and the handle came stripped. Don't waste your money.

Came damaged, guard adjustment know did not turn all the way. Blade wobbles. Really disappointed because of all the good reviews I saw.
