Works great for my stainless steel French Press
I decided to get rid of my beloved glass carafe French press..after spending too much on replacement glass canisters. I decided to try the Stainless Steel and just didn't love the taste. After some research I saw these and decided to give them a try. GENUIS. Not only do they make the coffee taste more balanced, it makes clean up a breeze. Been using about 2 weeks, and the filters are strong...they don't break at all and I'm using boiling water. Ideal for those that make cold brew...The 6x8" fit inside my 8 cup stainless steel French press perfectly...easy to fill with ground, and then pour hot water, then seal up! I like strong coffee, so after some experimenting, I let the coffee steep about 10 minutes versus 5 without a filter.

Easy French Press Cleanup
Judge us- but these work great for making French pressed coffee. You do have to be creative with the knitting of the string to not let the grains out… but once you find the way to tie it the cleans up is so much easier. We do have to pump the coffee several more times and let it sit a bit. We love the flavor of a French press and nothing has changed using these bags.

Smaller than expected
These little bags are described accurately and don't affect the flavor of what you're using them for. As far as I know, there's nothing chemical or artificial in the material they're made from and material is strong. My only complaint, they are a lot smaller than what they look like in the pictures. They worked for my intended purpose; not having to clean coffee grounds and getting coffee sludge in my cup when using a French press. I think presses are good but the sludge at the bottom of my cup and then the grounds clean up is plain aweful. My press sits collecting dust next to my easy Nespresso. I thought there has to be another way. I went through a lot of different products. These have good reviews and seem to fit my purpose. When I first opened them, I thought they were maybe folded. They weren't. They are precisely the size of a Lipton tea bag. Even my herbal round tea bags are bigger. There are a lot in the 2 ziplock bags they're packed in. I only used 1/2 of one of the bags for an entire 11oz can of coffee. I used a small funnel to fill. That's the best way wo making a mess. The BEST thing was after using about 6 bags in my press, no sludge and no grounds to clean up):) For the first time I had good French press coffee. The bags are strong, no grounds seeped through at all. No effect on flavor. All I had to do was empty the bags in the garage and rinse out the pot. I gave 4 stars bc of the size. If they were bigger I'd give them 5. I definitely recommend but just be aware of the size.

Cold Brew Coffee Game Changer
Been a cold brew game changer since I've discovered these. Their super easy to use, store, and tie up tight so no grounds leak into my cold brew. I use this along with a 32oz pitcher and call it a night. I just put a few scoops of coffee into one of these pouches, drop it into a pitcher of water, and the next morning I have great cold brew! The quality of these little pouches is great and makes my life so much easier when tossing the grounds. No more pulling out a built in mesh system, having to clean every bit of grounds out of it before putting it back. This really is the easiest way to make my overnight cold brew. The bags are perfectly sized for the amount of cold brew I make everyday.

Amazing for making coldbrew. Best method I’ve tried
I’ve been making my own cold brew for over a year in 64oz mason jars in my fridge. This is by far the best tasting and least messy method I’ve tried for making coldbrew. 1 cup of coffee grounds to 4 cups(64oz) distilled water. I tie the bag as close to the grounds as possible and shake up the mason after closing it. Let sit over night and there you go, if you stay on top of it you’ll never run out of cold brew. I usually have 3 masons going at a time and my boyfriend always grabs some on his way out the door in the morning. Previously I’ve tried loose grounds in the jar, that I would strain into another container and then put back. That was very messy and could be hard to keep up with, and the taste was not consistent. Often would have an accident and the grounds would end up on the floor. Wet coffee grounds are gross to clean up. I bought a 64oz mason stainless steel strainer specifically for cold brew, and used that but I think the strainer held onto the acid and oils from the coffee even after washing it and made the cold brew very bitter. Results were not consistent. These are def the best option I tried, I use them everyday.

Smooth flavor, easy clean up
We grind our own beans for our French press and now I add the grounds into these bags for brewing. My intention was easier clean up and disposal of grounds and these are perfect! All grounds removed from the press with minimal cleaning needed. The added bonus is my coffee flavor is much smoother and all bitterness is gone. This is the best cup of coffee I've ever made now! My grinder auto grinds 4 cups for us, and that only fills up about half the small bag. I simply pour the grounds from the grinder cup into the pouch and pull tight. It holds well without any spillage of the grounds. I leave the end of the string outside the press (like a tea bag) for easy retrieval. Highly recommend these.

A sad day for this coffee drinker...Try tea?
So I was so excited to be able to purchase these on Amazon to finally be able to make coffee bags. Upon the first couple of uses, I was thinking maybe I over-filled the bags, ao I adjusted to half filled. I tried cold water, boiling water, even room temp but the result was less than desirable. They are very durable, and easy to use. I haven't had any of the bags leak, and the coffee grounds stay in the bags. I am using a drip 12 cup grind type of coffee. I will be trying coffee ground for a french press next to see if it works better. I cannot tell if the flavor is affected, as I am currently drinking a brand I don't typically drink until my other comes in the mail. You can't pour any temp of water into a cup and place one of these filled or half filled and expect it to behave like a tea bag(I thought they would). These float! You can't pull it up and down and expect it to make a cup of coffee(I thought it would). You cannot let it steap like tea and expect it to work(learned the hard way). So, the only way I have found (So far) that works to use this for coffee with this grind is pouring water into a coffee cup, placing the bag into the cup(make sure it has soaked up water) directly into the microwave. 1 minute and 45 seconds and it will brew a cup of coffee. The drawback is, you will smell kind of burnt coffee as the top of the bag will be brown(burnt? Idk). I will change my review after trying the french press grind. Fingers crossed it works better. I really want(and need) these to work better.

Worth it! Mess free and easy
These filters have to be the easiest and most mess free way of making cold brew. They don't leak any grinds at all, cold brew comes out very clean. The drawstring is long enough that I leave a good 6 inches out of my mason jar clamped down by the lid, makes it easy to pull out and discard. For 10 cents each, which can make several cups of coffee for each one, I don't think you can do any better.

Great with cold brew systems
Got a cold brew pot with mesh but found there was still lots of silt. Using these helped tremendously. I also tried using them as is without the added mesh part from the cold brew system and found it was slightly better than using just the mesh. Both the mesh insert and the filters work best together. I also used the filter as a strainer which worked wonderfully. Would be 5 stars if they worked as great on their own but still also help with clean up as the mesh insert is a bit of a pain to get grinds out of.
