Far healthier and tastier than any chemically GMO wheat - Delicious antient grain, stone ground.
This flour tastes GREAT and adds a depth of flavor to traditional recipes that ought to tell you what is lacking from modern GMO over-pocessed wheat. The quality has been great and consistent on the 3 orders we'd made. I wish the entire US wheat market would switch to older grains and stop using chemicals during growing and harvesting.

Great quality.
This flour is very mild in flavor, so it is a great substitute for those who want a healthier option but like white bread. I substitute at least half of my pancake flour for spelt flour and my family loves it. Just add a little baking powder and baking soda. Also works great in bread recipes.

Great flour. Using it in my sourdough baking as an addition to the white bread flour.

Delicious Flavor - Having Trouble With Rise in a Bread Machine
Love the bread, the flavor is incredible - I use 1/4 cup honey in my favorite recipe. I have been struggling with the rise, I've purchased another organic spelt flour that had no trouble producing a tall, beautifully textured bread. I read another's comments in this section that suggested either mixing the flour with another brand (this one coarsely milled?) or adding an extra amount of yeast. I'll try the yeast option and go from there. Would rather not mix if I can avoid it. Still will stick with the brand as it's truly very flavorful and I'm pretty sure I can get this to work.

Good Taste and Good Value
This product seemed fresh, and it has a nice flavor. If you haven't tried spelt flour, I highly recommend it. I use it in homemade pancakes and quick breads, such as pumpkin bread, banana bread, zucchini bread, and others. Spelt flour has a different nutritional value than regular wheat flour, too. Try it, so far it has worked well with any recipes that i would use regular flour. When I shopped around for a good price, this brand was a good value. The small bags are nice, too, so that the others that are unopened will stay fresh.

Enhances flavor of sourdough bread!
I personally prefer the flavor of spelt over rye in slow-fermented breads, and I use this to feed my starter. It adds the complexity of flavors without as the bitterness of some whole wheat flours. I highly recommend this brand of spelt flour. I've used their AP flour too, and I really liked it! The first time I ordered this pack of 4 bags of spelt flour, I received only 1 bag, and Amazon issued a refund when I asked them to send me the other 3 bags. Then it went out of stock for a while. But I was able to order the box of 4 bags, and this time got a full order delivered to me. I'm half way through and I really like it so far. One day, I'll work my way up to ordering the large 20-50 lb sacks from this company but that's too much flour for me right now.
