40 Seasons: The Best Of Skid Row [CD]

A lot of good songs! I enjoyed it!!!

With the new Atlantic Years box set recently released I wanted to write an honest review on this compilation that collects 16 tracks from the 3 studio albums and 2 ep's with Sebastian Bach on vocals.The remastering across the disc is amazing and really sounds great in the right places (especially the bass) without suffering from too much of the 'loudness war' a lot of albums from this era are known for. Until the recent release of the box set this was the best mastering available for these particular tracks and gets bonus points for that alone.Regarding those tracks the first half of the album is filled with 4 from the S/T release and 5 from Slave To The Grind. The second half of the album is what really shines. 5 tracks from Subhuman Race consisting of 1 demo, 3 remixes & 1 live cut that appeared on the Subhuman Beings On Tour EP. The final two tracks are unreleased from the S/T and Slave recording sessions and are just as good as any that made the cut for those albums.The 2 bonus tracks and 3 remixes & 1 demo are not included on the Atlantic Years box set and in my opinion makes this album still worthy to have in any collection.A few negatives:-The cover/rear artwork, or lack thereof.-Only including 4 tracks from the S/T release where Slave & Subhuman are represented with 5 is a minor let down.-If an unreleased track from the Subhuman sessions exists that would have been a nice bonus.-Had Psycho Therapy originally from the B-Sides Ourselves album and only included on the Japanese release made the U.S. release this truly would be a complete sampling of the Atlantic Years.This is still hands down a 5 star album that holds its own 2 decades after it's initial release with the mastering and inclusion of unreleased, demo & remix tracks not found anywhere else.

40 Seasons introduced me to much of Skid Row I had not heard before. I really liked it.

Great album and full of there songs. Nothing like 70's and 80's rock to get the heart pumping again. Love to play this stuff while working.

The CD is a great CD the best I've had in all time. I love every song on the CD. Love it, love it, love it.

Gave as a gift.

好きな曲が年代順に収録されており、懐かしく思いつつ楽しみました。ずっとファンの人も知らなかった人も楽しめる1枚です。Guns N' RosesとAerosmithのようなvocalのセバスチャン･バック、どちらの良いところを持ち合わせた歌声で大好きです。BON JOVIの弟は中々の骨太ROCK!!だよ！オリジナルメンバーで復活して欲しいです。
