The scoop feels sturdy and works well. As others have noted, the handle is very short, so I can only hold it with three fingers and a thumb. It still functions fine and there may be an "ice cream" related reason for the short handle that I'm not aware of! When it touches anything wet, the metal immediately loses it's shine and becomes the "normal" dull aluminium colour. I don't mind this at all, the thin layer of aluminium oxide prevents any more oxidisation, so it's behaving normally. I don't know why it's shiny to start off with though, maybe a thin layer of polish to make it more attractive on the shelf?

Bought for potting up plants but I need another one for dog biscuits. Very well made and good quality.

Solid, lightweight scoop. Ideal for loading particle into your bait boat or scooping ice out of the freezer. Make sure you wash it first though or the wife will want to know what’s floating in her G&T. Don’t wash it in the dishwasher as it’ll go a horrible grey colour!

Gir this for filling the bird feeders, good size as 1.5 scoops fill the feeders so very handy, fairly solid
