3" Short Truck Antenna for Chevy Silverado GMC Sierra 1500 2500HD, Black

This antenna was super easy to install and looks much better than the factory antenna. The short design gives the truck a cleaner look without sticking up so far. It feels well made and fits perfectly on my Silverado. Definitely worth it for the price.

Install is extremely easy and the look of the antenna is very nice. My concern was losing reception quality and it turning into a fashion over function type situation. Was pleased to find that all my preset stations came in just fine whether FM or AM. The package mentions that it should perform fine in areas with strong radio signal but could struggle in areas that do not, which seems like the case with any vehicle antenna. Very nice, simple little cosmetic upgrade for my truck.

Installed this carbon fiber short antenna on my 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500, and I am really happy with the result. No tools required, just unscrew the factory antenna and screw this one in with the right adapter. Visually, it makes a big difference. Reception was poor with local radio and satellite radio. I tried it on 2 different vehicles, and had poor reception with both. I purchased a different antenna, and that one works great.

Full disclosure I bought this expecting the radio reception quality to diminish. Why? I have owned others over the decades and they have not performed well. I spent the 30 seconds required to install it. Hopped back in the truck and expected to hear static or fuzz. Audio quality is spot on to the original OEM whip antenna. It is on an 07 Silverado WT. Not a high tech or nice vehicle by any means. Is it expensive for what it is? Yes. Would I pay full price again. Yes.
