Absolutely works. Should you buy it though?
I should start by saying that I bought this because it was the only one on Amazon I could find that wasn't full of 'bait and switch' reviews, where the product was 5 stars but all of the reviews were talking about this awesome mousepad or pasta strainer or something else completely unrelated. The reviews on this item were fairly mixed, but mostly 3-4 stars so I figured I would give it a chance. Some backstory- I'm fairly regularly woken up at 5am by my neighbor's energetic young dog that does not get enough attention. They keep him in the back yard and never take him for walks or play fetch, so he runs around and barks at everything he hears or sees. Some people should just not own dogs.. but i digress. When this came in, I set it up outside and crossed my fingers- little did I know that we were forecast for a pretty big storm that night, so instead I was woken up at 3am by my OWN dog who was in my bed shivering like crazy! This is not a dog who gets scared of thunder- he's 3 years old and isn't really phased by stuff like fireworks or thunder. HOWEVER- every time this device heard some thunder it emitted the dog-repelling sound which freaked my dog TF out. My older dog (11 years old or so) doesn't even seem to hear it, he doesn't care at all. Oddly enough _that_ dog is terrified of thunder.. go figure. Either way, I won't be using it anymore. The reaction my dog had to it was just too intense, I don't want to train him to be afraid of some spooky sound every time the neighbor's dog barks. So bearing all of that in mind- I can say with absolute certainty that this device works as advertised. Whether or not you should buy it or not is going to come down to your own circumstances.

I can't tell if it's actually working
So I used this for 2 weeks, followed the instructions on where to set up but I don't think it is working. I do see the signal lights, but my dog still barks so I don't know. I cannot tell.

Works better than I imagined
Surprised at how well it works, but battery does not last nearly as long as promised. Also kind of annoying that the product does not work while it's charging. Overall, decent purchase though.

Do not use this indoors or in your car
From a positive standpoint, this is easy to use and holds a good charge. However, it feels very cheaply built and the cover for the charging port is very hard to remove for charging. I tried this in hopes that it would prevent my dogs from barking at people while in my car. I turned it to its lowest setting and they almost immediately wanted out of my car and would not return to the car without me first removing it. Needless to say, I stopped and will unfortunately never use it again. Therefore, I can't recommend this product based on my experience.

Didn't work for us :(
I had high hopes here, but unfortunately, it doesn't work for us. Literally I accidentally set it off and my Cavapoo just kinda looked at it curiously - she was NOT offended by it whatsoever. My dogs are still barking and it is not working, sadly.

Emits a couple different high frequency sounds
If you put the device up to your ear while it is working you can only hear it a tiny bit so you know that it is on even though you don't hear it working. It is very easy to charge and sit somewhere on the porch. I had another very similar one of these anti-barking devices, and this one seems to be more responsive when the dogs bark than the other one. A flashing little strobe light also comes on telling you that it comes on after the dogs bark. You can't hear the device, only if you press your ear on it really hard and then you can only hear it a very tiny bit. I'm glad I know when it is working because you couldn't tell on the other one I had. The strobe light is a nice touch for me and the dogs seem to relate the light with the sound coming on, too. I had some time involved in trying to figure out how to choose the frequency that it works best. The dogs will actually come running to me sometimes when I recharge it and take it outside and it starts working again. They realize that they are doing something wrong and automatically come running to me. That is how I can definitely tell that it is working at times. I think it works a lot better when they are closer to the back porch where it sits. I think my fenced area is too big and the dogs don't seem to notice it as much when they are farther away and that is where they bark more (if they see a visitor on the farther driveway.) If you have a bigger yard, you may need to buy a bigger one but this seems to work in the immediate area when the dogs bark and I like it better than the other smaller one that I can compare it to. It holds a charge for several days. That is the other reason I like to be able to tell on this one that it needs charged when it is no longer working.

Seems To Be Working So Far
As someone who doesn't like to use those shock dog collars and no - fence dog barriers where your pet is made uncomfortable., I was dubious about the JARMAPOZ Ultrasonic Dog Bark Deterrent Device. It's pretty simple in that it has 3 settings for different dogs and dog sizes and when your dog barks, it puts out an ultrasonic sound that distracts them immediately. I really didn't expect much, but after a month, I've been rather surprised at the results. The big thing to know is not to use it for more than 9 - 10 days at a time as your dog will get used to it. You use it for about 7 days straight, take off a few and then put it back up. Also, you want to position it closer to the level of your dog so they will hear it. Since we have so many trees, I was able to stick this is the lower branches that were close to our dog and whenever he would bark, he would stop after just one bark. He didn't make any pained noises or anything, he just stopped barking after the first one. After about 2 weeks, I've noticed that his barking dropped down to about once or twice a week which is quite the improvement. As it only covers about 32 feet, you need to make sure to place it in the middle of your area that your dog is for maximum coverage.

Pratique

Not a long term trainer
I've had this about 2 months and it whilemit started off great my dog seems to have grown used to it. It may lessen her barking but it hasn't stopped it as hoped. The product itself seems to be working fine in the outdoors with plenty of wind and rain to test its durability. (My cat can hear it and is scared of it, in case anyone was wondering.)

Not effective
This product was ineffective after the second day. My dogs couldn't care less.
