To use it, you must plug it into your laptop or PC. ^Jennifer **Q: There are 2 usb-c ports ..can i run one cable from a usb wall outlet to monitor (for power) and one cable from lg gram laptop to monitor (for signal)?** A: I've seen 3-5 related questions that can be summed up in 1: how is it possible for an lg gram 2022 with 2x usb-c ports to drive 2x +view monitors while powering the laptop. 2022 Lg grams require 1x of the usb-c ports for power. The remaining usb-c port would be connected to the 1st +view. Although the +view itself has 2x usb-c ports, the other port CANNOT be used to power the laptop via passthrough. I have tried it with all the appropriate cables. Also, +view monitors cannot be "daisy chained". I have tried that as well. The +views DP alt mode does not allow daisy chaining of multiple monitors. The only option appears to be an external usb-c hub that splits and outputs 2 independent DP alt mode signals. I have yet to find one. Jennifer's answers are inaccurate or misleading, so I hope someone else can step in with informed advice. I hope this helps others who are in the same boat and have been given inaccurate information. Thank you communithy. **Q: I bought 2 of these, and i am not able to make both work. i am using the original cables. how do i get 2 working? what is exact config needed?** A: Your PC or Laptop you're connecting to should have USB 3.1 Type C which supports DP ALT-MODE. I have same problem. My old PC doesn't work but my new LG Gram laptop works. **Q: Does it have touchscreen?** A: No, the 16MQ70 is a portable monitor only, and does not have touchscreen. ^Jennifer ## Frequently Bought Together - LG 16MR70.ASDU1 16” Gram +View IPS Protable Monitor, Silver - Losong 17.3 Inch Portable Monitor Case, Protective Carrying Sleeve for Most 17.3 Inch Portable Monitors, Water Resistant Laptop Display Bag with Accessory Pocket, Size-16.3"x10.6" Black - ROADOM Tablet Stand, Adjustable 360° Swivel Bracket, 180° Tiltable Clamp,Foldable Tablet Holder for 4.7-17.3'' iPhone/iPad/Tablet/Portable Monitor, Aluminum Alloy, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/630231677-gram-16-ips-portable-usb-c-monitor-16mr70-16-inch](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/630231677-gram-16-ips-portable-usb-c-monitor-16mr70-16-inch) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
