We actually use this thermometer for our dog and it seems very accurate. Easy to use and has different functions depending where you want to take the temperature. Screen is bright and easy to read.

Accurate. Sturdy good to have at home

The battery was dead on arrival, but it works well after we replaced it. I primarily wanted this for rectal temp and you have to press the on button then the "route" button three times with a pause between the before you get to the rectal option, which is definitely not convenient when you have a sick and squirmy baby you need an accurate temp on. The accuracy is also debatable, when I'm able to get baby to stay still, I take the temp 3 times, and often the second temp is a full degree less than the 1st and 3rd. I do appreciate the flexible tip though.

This Vicks RapidRead Digital Thermometer that I bought was good in all ways except the most important one. It reads approximately 1 degree Fahrenheit too high. The instructions provide no instructions for testing and recalibrating in a water bath at either boiling or ice bath conditions. It was cheap enough that it is not worth the hassle to return it. I bought a different brand and it is consistent with measurements I’ve had over the last 60+ years of my life.
