The taste was not what I expected
I originally bought this for its medicinal uses. I was out of my usual neosporin and had a bad fall and scraped up most of my lower leg. I had found a small tube of "manuka" honey and was amazed at the results. So started looking for a larger size. I went down the hole of research and reviews, which can take forever, but is useful. I landed on this brand but could only get the +10 at the time. It arrived in time and was in good condition, no leakage and sealed. I think the first thing I did was taste it. This one has a fairly strong medicinal taste, almost can't tell it's honey. What did I know? I've never tasted it before. Told myself that eating it wasn't what I bought it for. As far as wound care, I followed the instructions of cleaning the area and then applying the honey and putting bandage on. I've been using iodine to clean 2x a day. The honey has really made a difference, as much as the neosporin, if not more. For me, a simple scrape can lead to something worse. I've tried the honey on a couple other scratches (cats) and they have healed faster than normal with little scarring, I scar easily I realize now that I should have been taking pictures to document the healing and how fast it's healed. I added a +20 to my subscribe and save and it came today. With the higher rating I was expecting a stronger medicinal taste. I was wrong, the +20 is actually sweeter and tasted good. Not sure if it is something with the difference in the UMF rating or the batch. I may contact the seller and see if they can give a good answer. I recommend the honey, just maybe not the +10 because of the taste. I'll try to update if I get an answer about the batch vs UMF rating.

It burns.
This stuff burns really bad. Nice size jar for the money. Do not put it on red irritated skin only on the wound/ulcer directly and cover with a dry dressing. Hopefully you don't have the same thing happen to you
