I've replaced my clothes washer water pump a few times, I'm afraid, due to bobby pins that keep slipping through the tiny holes in the tub and then piercing the water pump, causing it to leak. This replacement part was great, because the OEM doesn't make them anymore. But this fit right into place and is doing the job great.

This fit perfectly in my lg washer. My son installed it and my washing machine continued working perfectly and draining the water. Of course I made sure to verify that it fit my model and I checked the model and serial number.

This was a perfect replacement for my LG WT7500CW washer. My washer stopped draining and I was considering simply replacing the machine but I decided to try this first. I've never attempted to fix a washing machine before. There are Youtube videos showing the process. Here's a brief explanation. You need to get as much water out of the tub as possible. That is especially important if you're like me and have a finished basement with no floor drain nearby. When you remove the old pump, whatever water is left in the machine will pour out. So before attempting the fix, I siphoned out what I could, then sponged it out, then I ran a fan on it all night. Once drained, you need to remove the old pump which is located on the bottom of the machine in the back. Pull the machine away from the wall and remove the back panel (4 screws), detach the two hoses connected to the pump, remove the 3 screws on the pump, and pull it out. Once the old pump is out, you need to detach it from the metal bracket that it is mounted on (2 screws). Then reattach that bracket to this new pump and reverse the process to reinstall. Yeah it was fiddly and not fun. But it was a simple process and sure beat spending a $1000 on a new machine. Go for it!
