Great For Lost Arrows, Checking Camo
I lost two arrows/broadheads in thick timber; a rake and metal detector didn't work. Ordered this, and headed to the woods in the dark. Found both arrows within minutes, even though only a few inches of the arrows were sticking out from under the leaves. This light made the plastic nocks and the fluorescent cock vanes shine like a beacon! This light is also great for checking blue "glow" on your camo clothing, that they claim deer can see. I recommend using the included UV protective glasses, as I did feel nauseous after about 15 minutes of use without the glasses; no, I didn't look into the light, just the reflected light from the forest floor was enough it seems. I highly recommend this for hunters; I suspect it will also be great for blood trails.

Impressive intensity, charger nice option
I took this with me to a program on uranium glass, and the presenter raved about it! We compared what he had been using to this one and couldn't believe how much brighter this was. It was really my first time trying it out, but it worked great and I really like that it is rechargeable.

Confused (Revised) More Wattage Needed
Revised: In my original review I questioned the need for 10w. Well I used a battery powered black light LED with less wattage and it was useless. Nothing showed up. With this 10w flashlight I could make out some fluorescent splatter, but it was hard to see without the yellow tinted glasses. More wattage is needed, and not less, in my now, more informed, opinion. Original: I would have liked to give this light 5 stars, but I did some digging and just couldn't bring myself to. I looked at what I received (safety glasses, charge cord, carrying case, and rechargeable light), and then went to the DARKBEAM store (https://amzn.to/3VAaaJu) (support link) to compare this to their other products. What I found was confusing to me. The first thing I noticed is this model is not listed anywhere in their store. The next glaring fact was the price difference from this product to say this product (https://amzn.to/3L0PwNC) (support link), and besides the design difference they do the same thing, you just don't get safety glasses and a carrying case. (BTW: This cheap model is really all any home user needs: https://amzn.to/4cBzx4F) (support link) So then I assumed it was the LED's wattage output (10w) for this light as opposed to the less expensive light listed above. (The cheaper product doesn't specify the wattage output, and so it's anyone's guess if this is the reason.) But then I asked myself, "Would the 10w output really be that advantageous?" I mean, think about it, if you're checking for spots aren't you going to examine the area close up anyway? I included the manual so you can see what they say. Basically it makes a point of warning you to use caution. And the bottom line is don't stare into the light as it can ruin your eyes. Which is a lot like telling a child, "Don't stare into the Sun as it will ruin your eyes." And you all know how that went, because after you were told this you promptly went out and stared into the Sun to see what all the fuss was about. Anyway, bottom line: Here is my theory: This light is designed for the person whose boss tells them to go buy a UV light for the company, and that they have a budget of $30. The carrying case and safety glasses just make this light look commercial quality. The boss is happy. The company is happy. And DARKBEAM is happy.
