Impressive robovac that mops and auto cleans itself; significant upgrade to my Roborock Q5+
I have owned a Roborock Q5+ for years and have been happy with it, but when we adopted a dog and manually mopping our hardwood floors became a chore, it was time to upgrade our robovac. I purchased the new Qrevo S when it became available. Roborock has a plethora of different robovac models (too many, in fact), and the Qrevo S isn't their top-of-the-line model by any means. The specs and features seemed impressive compared to my old Q5+: auto mop washing and self-drying (my Q5+ has no mopping feature), 7000Pa suction (my Q5+ is only 2700Pa), obstacle avoidance (which the Q5+ lacks), ultrasonic carpet sensing (not available on the Q5+), quieter operation (63dB vs. 67dB), and new features like the ability to lift the mops by 10mm when encountering carpet and spinning them at 2,000 rpm while cleaning floors. Having never owned a mopping robovac before, I was excited to put this one through its paces. After unboxing (it was very well packaged), I set up the Qrevo S with my existing Roborock app running on my Google Pixel 8 Pro (Android, app version 4.36.10). Upon powering up the Qrevo S and launching the app, it automatically detected the unit and guided me through connecting it to my home Wi-Fi. This, however, is where I ran into an issue: it wouldn’t connect to my home Wi-Fi. It turns out — and this is documented — that the Qrevo S (and most, if not all, of Roborock’s robovac products) doesn’t support 5 GHz Wi-Fi; it only works on 2.4 GHz. In this day and age (it’s almost the year 2025), it's disappointing to find the lack of 5 GHz Wi-Fi support. I had to temporarily disable the 5 GHz radio on my router just to complete the initial Wi-Fi setup. Once completed, I re-enabled 5 GHz on my router, and the Qrevo S continued working fine. It's not a deal breaker, but still annoying nonetheless. Once the unit was connected to my home network, the next step was to map out the home's floor plan via the “quick mapping” feature, where the robovac roams around the house, mapping the layout and rooms. For my home, where the Qrevo S was placed on the first floor, it quickly mapped the floor plan in about 15 minutes. That was quick, compared to my old Q5+. Using the app, you can edit the floor plan by adding, deleting or merging rooms and renaming them, but I found the process somewhat finicky and, at times, frustrating. This isn't a hardware issue but rather a limitation of the app (in this case, Android). There is a certain trick to creating rooms (by adding dividing lines), and sometimes you need to “think outside the box” when placing the dividing lines to separate rooms, which may require multiple attempts. Again, this isn’t a hardware problem, and hopefully the app will improve over time. How did the Qrevo S perform as a robovac? Impressive, especially compared to the Q5+. As mentioned, I’ve never had a robovac with a mop before, and it did a commendable job mopping the hardwood floors and vacuuming carpets. What impressed me most were two features: its ability to automatically stop spinning the mops and slightly raise them when detecting carpets (even high-pile carpets) and its "Reactive Tech" obstacle avoidance technology. The latter was able to detect Murphy’s (our dog) ball/toy in its path, note it on the map/app, and avoid it. I have attached photos as proof. LiDAR-based navigation is standard. The unit also supports multiple floor mappings (up to four floors), but for now, I have it set up for just the main floor. When the robovac finished its cleaning cycle, it automatically found its way back to its multifunctional dock and initiated its docking sequence. Once docked, it began the self-cleaning process: washing and drying the mops, emptying the dustbin (330ml capacity), refilling the water tank on the robovac (80ml capacity) from the clean water bin if needed, and recharging the unit. Summary: Pros: Impressive robovac with automatic self-cleaning, mopping capability, LiDAR-based navigation, and obstacle avoidance. Cons: Only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and editing the floor map in the app can sometimes be frustrating.

Want to Save Precious Hours of Your Week? Get This.
Q Revo S = 4.5/5 Stars. I now have tried 3 different Roborock robots, the OG Q Revo (Last year's model) , Q Revo Pro and this Q Revo S. They are all great robots which have saved me countless hours of boring, back causing pain of manual broom and mop house cleaning, if you have never used any, it will change your world, will make it so much more easier to keep your home clean. I have a 2 story home with 2 cats, I run this robot every night, doing 1 day vacuum only and one day in vacuum / mop mode and there is a no shoe rule in my house, so my hole house is clean every day :) I only run it only after I have returned from my job and double check there is no cat toys, or if by any chance there is any cat poop laying around as the object detection is not that good on any Q Revo model I have tried (The only one I have not tried is the Q Revo Master which does have a front camera, making me guess it has superior object detection) which is the reason I don't give it a full 5 stars, so make sure your house is clean of toys or cables on the ground as this might suck them up. Pet or human hair is no problem as it has never become tangled, however I do check on the roller every few weeks to remove any hair tangled in there. I use the cleaning solution on the clean water which makes the floor smell nice. Now if you still have the original Q Revo, this are the upgrades over it: - Mop washing tray is easier to clean. - Suction power has been increased. - Some older Q Revo had a water leaking issue, this has solved it. - Not that noisy when emptying the dustbin. If you need the extendable mop which will clean the corners of your house and furniture, get the Q Revo Pro which this model lacks, if you don't feel like you need that, get this and save a couple of Benjamin's.

Stopped working due to LiDAR error; repair costs include parts, service, and shipping
I purchased this Roborock in Dec 2024, it has worked well almost 12 months, but recently is having issues with the LiDAR “LiDAR error. Check that the LiDAR turret turns freely”. Given these issues, I emailed the product support team and they have asked for the video of the failure, "Order Number" and "Purchase Date", which I have provided. Then I got email from them to explain that there's something wrong with the device and need to be repaired. However, the warranty for my device has expired already, i think just few days from the day I activated the robot. So I need to pay out of repair from them. The quote for the repair cost will be sent to me after the device has been checked by the repair center (including material fee, service fee, and two-way shipping fees). They also suggested to buy the new one. For a product in this price range, that’s extremely disappointing.

Love it!!
This was our 2nd QRevo. We liked our first QRevo so much, we purchased a 2nd one for the 2nd level of our home. QRevo will let you use the same unit for multiple floors, but after a year of doing that, we decided a backup QRevo would be worthwhile, and we would not have to constantly be carrying it up and down the stairs. We went with the newer QRevo this time… the “S” model. It has slightly better suction and lifts the mopping pads a bit higher than the original QRevo. QRevo also has other more expensive models which heat the water and have an arm that extends out to clean along the baseboards. Both our QRevos clean along the baseboards quite well. And we use hot water when we fill the clean water bin so we really did not need those features. Also, a number of reviews said they were having problems with the arm that extends. Typically we have the QRevo vacuum and mop 2-4 times a week. We use the Roborock cleaning solution once a week, and only hot water the other times. The QRevo CAN vacuum and mop at the same time. Sometimes we use it like that, but more often we do a VACUUM only run on MAX followed by a MOP only run on MAX water. Max water is NOT sopping wet. It dries in a few seconds, but we live in an arid state. The only times we use swiffers on our tile and vinyl floors is if we have dried mud from the dog’s feet or super-sticky stuff from food that has dropped on the floor. Just for grins, we swiffered the kitchen floor yesterday with the brand-name Swiffer floor cleaning pads to see how well the new Qrevo had been cleaning. Bottom line: QRevo #2 was doing a GREAT job. The installation of the QREVO was quick and easy. As of 2024, you have to install it on the 2.4 Band of your Internet. Would we buy the Qrevo again… absolutely!

Solid vacuum/mop
Pros: - Better mapping and cleaning than my previous higher end robot vacuum from a popular brand - Quiet operation - Customizable cleaning settings, routines, and obstacle avoidance - Heat drying so the mop pads don’t smell - Easy to fill and empty water tanks - Easy to change the bag and mop heads - Maintenance notifications for brushes, sensors, and filters - Connects to Alexa - Comes with an extra bag - Great value Cons: - Not great for carpet cleaning if you have pets who shed often - My previous vacuum notified me when it was time to change the bag, this one does not - Cleaning solution is a bit expensive, other solutions void the warranty - Initial setup was difficult with connectivity issues (tip: if it won’t connect to your phone, turn off cellular data so there’s no lapse when the WiFi channels switch. Mine wouldn’t connect until I tried that) - Learning curve with the app I bought this particular combo on a whim when I saw it was on sale. I’ve wanted a robot vacuum/mop combo for a while but couldn’t justify spending a lot on one. I had my eye on a much more expensive model thinking I’d save for a big sale when I saw this one. I figured I’d at least try it. I love it! It maps and cleans my apartment better than my previous robot vacuum and my house always smells fresh. I have a dog that sheds a lot even with daily brushing and I noticed this isn’t great on carpet for picking up fur. I’ve set it to skip my room entirely and I just use my stick vacuum in that area. I think this would be fine for carpet in households with no pets or maybe pets who seldom shed because it does have good suction power. I run this every other day and my hard floors stay so clean. I mentioned that other cleaning solutions void the warranty. I bought the brand’s Omo solution. It’s expensive but a little bit really does go a long way and helps prevent bacteria growth. Make sure to read the directions so you don’t use too much! I’ve seen others say they use water only and it works great for them, but I’ve always used solution so I can’t speak to that. It doesn’t come with a silver ion module but I highly recommend buying one for it. It keeps the water from smelling bad and reduces the chance of mold too. I ordered one off Amazon and there’s a spot in the clean water tank to just snap it into. It looks like a weird little rectangle on the bottom. The module lasts a year. I’d recommend emptying both water tanks at least once a month, if not more. I’m relatively tech savvy and this took a little bit of time to get the vacuum connected and learn how to customize the settings. It’s not hard, it just takes a bit to find everything and remember where stuff is. I do really like that it is so customizable though. Overall, I really like this and definitely recommend it. It has a lot of great features for the price.

Roborock Q Revo S is a Huge Upgrade from My Old Robot
This robot vacuum has been a big surprise for me. I used iRobot Roombas for years and always thought they were fine, but the Roborock Q Revo S is on another level. The vacuuming and mopping performance is excellent. It cleans better than I ever managed to do by hand, especially on hardwood and tile. I can program it to run twice or three times, schedule different rooms, and adjust settings directly from the app. The app is very easy to use and the mapping feature works well. It automatically mapped my whole house and now knows exactly where to go. It transitions between carpet, tile and wood without problems. The base station dries the mop pads, which is a huge plus because it prevents damp smells. My only minor complaint is that this model does not heat the mop water and there is no separate solution tank at the base, so I have to mix the cleaning solution myself. It works fine, it just would have been nice if everything was automated. After using this, I finally understand why many people consider robot vacuums like Roborock a must-have item. It saves a lot of time and the floors look noticeably cleaner. I use it daily and wish I had switched years ago.

Great.....BUT ! = UPDATE
The vacuum works amazing. We have 2 Lab dogs and I have my vacuum set to run every 12 hours to keep the dog hair under control. The first bag lasted 2 weeks and I replaced it, very full, so it does it's job in picking up dog hair very, very well. Here's the rub to my "BUT" addition in the headline: I bought replacement mops (OEM) to have on hand, and they fit fine. I bought replacement washable filters (OEM) and they are 1/4" too long and do not fit in the dust bin. I am not the first customer to complain that the filters do not fit. These are going back to Amazon but not before I contacted Roborock mfg and chatted with them on-line about their washable filters NOT fitting the Qrevo S model. They are "looking into it with the Development team" is the story I got. So, just beware, you may never be able to replace those washable filters if Roborock's Development Team isn't putting out the correct filters. What is being sold as "washable filters" for the "S" model, definitely does NOT fit. UPDATE: After communicating with the Mfg for the last almost 60 days, they do not have the replacement washable filters for the "S" model. They say it has only been out for the last 2 to 3 months and that's the reason why (?) Odd, when the bags and mop pads are the same and available but the filter is not available. WORSE - they have no idea when the correct size replacement filters will be available !!! This is NOT a cheap robo vacuum but maybe that's why they are discounted $200 ??? Gotta clear out the stock since they don't have filters that fit ??? UPDATE: So, after a few emails with the company, they finally were able to get me the correct washable air filters for my Q Revo S vacuum. I can honestly say, THEIR VACUUM AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE ARE STELLAR!! I run my vacuum and mop 2x a day, every 12 hours and the floors and carpets in my home are spotless and hair free (we have two 80# Labs). I have been encouraging friends and co-workers who have inferior robot vacuums/mops or who hand vac and mop, to get Roborock Q Revo S - they won't be disappointed. Thank you Roborock for your professionalism and customer service.

Beware of Roborock
If customer service could ruin a good product, it would be Roborock. This has been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Over the last month and a half, I’ve made countless phone calls, sent endless emails, and provided photos—everything they’ve asked for regarding their own product that is still under warranty. All I need is one simple part: the plastic water bin that slides in. The magnet is broken, so the machine won’t recognize that it’s installed, which means it won’t work at all. In the meantime, I’ve been stuck with a vacuum that doesn’t function while I wait for them to send this basic replacement part. It’s incredibly frustrating. Honestly, it’s gotten so bad that I’m considering switching back to a Roomba—which feels like I’ve hit rock bottom. Unless there are a customer service decides to service their clients you might wanna look for a different vacuum - how can I share a photo of a vacuum that doesn’t work?

Best buy
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely love it! I’m really happy with this purchase — the product arrived on time, well-packaged, and exactly as described. The quality is even better than I expected, and it’s been working perfectly since I got it. You can tell there’s been some real thought put into the design and functionality. Definitely worth the money! I’ve already recommended it to a few friends, and I’d happily buy it again

Recomendo.

Works great & wish I'd bought it sooner!
I bought this model during the black Friday sales. I was deterred initially by the high price tag but ultimately, I am glad I bought it. It works really well & removes hair, dust, cat hairs around my apartment daily. The app is easy to use & was a massive upgrad from my previous vacuum from iRobot. It doesn't bump into furniture & the avoidance feature works well. The app is easy to use & sharable so both my partner & I can start, keep track of current cleaning cycles. I like that is shows you in real time the vacuum's status & where it has cleaned/not yet cleaned. With newly adopted kittens, it can be hard to keep my place clean with all the fur but the robot vacuum makes it so much easier & also helps in times when I have a sudden guest coming over. The dustbin & water tanks are easy to clean & prevents me from having to clean the inside of the vacuum like my previous one. The roborock product line is confusing as there are so many options but I would check sites that break down exactly what features you would need to find which works the best for each person. Since I was upgrading from a very old model from another brand, it was a huge improvement that makes my life a lot easier. You can't go wrong if it is your first product from this brand.
