Only have 1 available rca audio input on receiver. want to connect two audio only devices and be able to choose which is active. will this work?

Yes, it will work audio or/and video. I have 3 devices hooked up and really like it.

can you use this with just audio (the red and white cords)

Yes you can. I just tried it and it works.

Will it work in reverse? One input to two output? I want to connect my analogue turntable to two different amps.

YES it can. I have the output from my TV going to the "input" jacks and now I can flip the switch to use either my sound bar OR my blue-tooth headphones (depending on which I want to listen to at the time).

We are getting a horrible buzz with these devise on the tv. any suggestions? we've tried switching out the cables, and it did not change anything.
