Review: works great even indoors - I wanted to setup a precision ntp time server indoors and with this antenna even with 15ft of cable to the actual gps unit it locks on quickly and i get precise time fix in less than a minute. I tried a few other small active antennas and not one of them could get a fix sufficient for precise time keeping.

The cheap antennas don’t do that. I’m using a Raspberry Pi 4 to collect GPS data while driving. My development environment is done in my house. It is a bit awkward to mount if you don’t want to drill holes in your best antenna location. My hillbilly solution was to tape it on top of a bean bag ash tray (also from desertcart). The bean bag is stable on my dashboard so I’m a happy camper.

I installed this GPS antenna on an ICOM IC-905 and have no issues tracking multiple satellites at any given time. Even seems to work OK indoors but definitely recommend using it outdoors.
