Planetary Herbals: Triphala 16 oz. Powder

Love this stuff!

In my case, it caused stomache upset. It doesn't have a very strong taste that I found unpleasant.

This product does have a bitter taste, but it works very well with virtually no side effects. I have hypothyroid, I tend to get constipated very easily, and sometimes even laxatives don't work. Did some research on the internet, decided to give it a try, and it really does work very well for constipation. The taste is very bitter but it's much more tolerable after you get used to it. Give it a few days to take effect, then after it starts working you may find you don't have to take it that often anymore to stay regular. It's a wonderful product if you can get used to the taste.

New users may not like the taste, but the benefits it offers make one get used to the herb (powder of three different fruits). It is the results that matter that will make one tolerate the taste.

Triphala is one of the greatest health products. It cleanses the colon and it is gentle. the taste is bitter, but you do get used to it (actually I kind of enjoy it now). You can also use this in tablets or capsules. But personally I think the tea is the best way to go. Use this and constipation will be a thing of the past, and it also eliminates gas as well. Millions of Indian people can't be wrong.

This stuff is so cheap & so weak. I bought at health store... THIS is the brand that worked for us: Himalaya USA - Triphala, 60 capsules (although they are ACTUALLY caplets, not capsules). We crush them & capsulize.

Best thing for normalizing your digestive tract. Wow, I just realized that not only does Amazon require you to write a review, but there is also a minimum word count. No wonder no one bothers with these reviews. It's like being in grade school when the teacher make's you do word count essays and time's tables.

After reading a number of reports regarding the benefit of Triphala I decided to give it a try. This is not the pills, this is the powder in which you mix a teaspoon of this in hot water and sip it like a tea. This is the most bitter tasting cr*p I have ever had. I don't care what benefits this is supposed to offer, it is far too disgusting to take in this form. The capsules are the way to go if you want to use this product!
