This is the best thing we have done so far with our Elf on the Shelf. My five year old got a baby sister this year so we decided this little baby elf will show up during the month of December. We wrote her a little note that said how impressed Santa is with her being a big sister that they decided on the north pole she could take care of one little baby elf for a day. And wow, that one day has been nothing but magical. She was feeding, dressing, "washing" the baby elf, took her skating and to Xmas market. At night when it was time for her to go back to north pole, my daughter was a bit sad and asked if we can write a letter to Santa and ask if baby elf can come and visit again and stay a bit longer. Then she kissed her goodbye and left her with the big elf. This whole experience has been so magical that we decided the baby elf would come back again and my daughter will be able to take care of her all the was until the Christmas Eve. This little baby elf is very cute, fits exactly in her little hand and in all of her pockets. It is a great way to have your little one also cuddle a little elf without ever touching the big elf (cuz that is the rule here haha, no touching the big elf otherwise they loose magic to fly back home to north pole at night ;) Yes, you do need this if you already went down the rabbit hole with a big elf on the shelf ;P !
