Herbie's first album as a leader. Great stuff by some very young players who would all become jazz superstars.

Great music etc. However, in my Amazon account, it says "Package was left inside the residence’s mailbox".No. The package was left lying flat on the sidewalk outside of my building, where someone could step on it or steal it. Try writing fiction somewhere else.

If you like jazz, horns, and piano this is a great CD. Wonderful performances by Herbie Hancock and veterans.

I mainly purchased this so my budding pianist son could learn Watermelon Man, and unlike the later Head Hunters version this is a truly vintage Blue Note rendition, with a bonus alternative track. The rest of the album was good, I liked the Dexter Gordon and Freddie Hubbard solos but the compositions were not so stirring that I wanted to hunt down more online music to learn.

Disco molto interessante che vede suonare insieme tre grandi del jazz come Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard e Dexter Gordon. Sebbene in alcuni momenti il disco, essendo un debutto, possa sembrare acerbo, contiene canzoni raffinate come “Watermelon Man” e “The Maze” che lo rendono molto godibile.
