I bought this set and I was a little scared that it would just be too hot to play and not even be any fun. But what I found out was that they made this game so that everybody could play. The first sauce is from a Banana Pepper and I don't think there is any heat in it at all, but I really liked the flavor. Then gradually the peppers get hotter and hotter. In the last 3 sauces the heat is extreme, but if your following the game rules, you only take 10 drops, so most people can take that. I made it to the top, but the last 3 sauces killed me. We had 2 other guys that made it to the top. They did a tie breaker (which I did not do) where each one did a spoonful of #10 Carolina Reaper Sauce. They both survived that too and I don't see how that’s possible. So I guess I'm not a true Chile Head.I saw some reviews from people saying the sauces were not hot, that’s crazy, they are plenty hot. If you are a true Chile Head, like the my 2 friends that played, you might want to bump the amount up to a spoonful for the last 3 sauces. I am sure that will light you up. Not everybody that played made it to the Top, but we all enjoyed it.P.S. The Scotch Bonnet was my favorite.

So I picked this up as a gift to my brother in law because he is a fan of spicy food...I wanted to test that. We have always been competitive and always in ways that test our pain threshold. This was a perfect gift! We made it through the 10 pepper challenge and it was really entertaining for the whole family as they gathered around to watch us push the our limits on what kind of heat we could take! We both survived it and had a great time doing it! Lots of laughs as the heat progressed and the “non spicy” people watched and cheered us on asking us questions after each spoonful about “how’s that one” or “what’s it like”. I would definitely recommend this purchase, I’m for sure going to buy this again to take to parties and let others test their limits! Some of the sauce was almost overpowered by the vinegar and a bit too “liquid” to call it a sauce so I think when I get my next kit I will one by one simmer and reduce it to make it thinker. All in all this was awesome and fun and you should definitely add it to your cart right now and get ready for a fun night!Side note: The banana pepper sauce was delicious, I would love to have a bottle of just that to brush into my pizza crust!

Most of these sauces are thin, they get thicker toward the top of the heat index. The flavor on the lower heat ones are great, the hotter they get... flavor is less... noticeable.The top 3 heat levels are HOT. #8 seems worse than #9, and seems to sit high in the stomach, too much can cause a lot of heat and burning sensation in the upper stomach area. #10 can strip paint and is significantly warmer than the previous ones.Overall, I have enjoyed this set. I have not used it as a game or challenge. Just a way for my audience to torture me on twitch...

I bought this as a gift for someone who loves spice, and he just so happened to have burgers for dinner. Everyone at the party ended up trying one of these, turns out they were a hit. The presentation looks really nice when you open the box, and it's easy to tell what goes where. A few of these tasted oddly similar, but that could be partially because my taste buds were burnt from trying the carolina reaper sauce (not great with spice tolerance myself!)Protip: the banana pepper hot sauce tastes great on burgers.

We loved this game and the sauce. I think most of the reviews think it will be like the hot sauce challenge on YouTube. The flavors are really good...and HOT!!! I made it to number 3. Our son in law made it ALL THE WAY. It has a vinegar base which may be the reason for some of the reviews??? We had fun and my son in law got to take them all home for being the winner!!! Would make a great Christmas gift too.

This is a fun challenge to do. If you enjoy hot sauce and want a good burn however, don’t buy this. I love hot sauce. I wouldn’t say that i can handle really hot wings that well and these 10 sauces weren’t hot at all. There is absolutely no way the top sauce is 1 million scolville units. The box is fun and the set up is fun but disappointed in the heat. Some of the sauces actually tasted good but most were awful. I’d save the $30 and buy a better more name brand set in the future.

Ok, first know I'm NOT great with spicy foods, but these were all very good. I even made it to the end although we were dying by that point. My son and son-in-law are both better with hot sauce than me and they also found most of the sauces to be very flavorful. We all agreed that the first 5 taste the best. I especially like #1 and #2. The only con might be that some of the sauces are very liquidy. Not thick at all. But IMO those were some of the most flavorful, they just didnt stick to the wings that great. Also, most of the sauces are not available from the company if you want individual, larger bottles. Some of the hotter ones are, but I really wanted the banana pepper sauce. Made for a fun time.

I am relaying what my daughter in law told me (I ordered and had it shipped to them for Christmas):We love the Hot Sauce challenge gift set!! It looks amazing and when your son is being a jerk, I am using the hot hot stuff on his food! Haha, kidding!They both loved receiving it and are looking forward to trying all of the flavors. Great gift idea!
