Works great and have used multiple times
I had ordered a mini split and was just going to use a can of Kwik e-vac but ended up bending and kinking a refrigerant line a little to much and didn't want to take the chance of it failing. So I ended up buying a flaring tool and redoing the lineset thus purchasing this unit to verify that my connections were good . I found a good video on YT on how to use these and this one has been great . I have since used it for two more mini splits and for the price of this vacuum pump,it's 100% worth it just for the confidence and knowing that when you release the refrigerant ,as long as you have verified vacuum and checked everything , that you should have no problems. It came with the adapter for the smaller r410a connection also. Everything fits nicely in the bag and it functioned perfectly. Honestly , spend the money for a vacuum pump just for the extra reassurance as it is less than hoping for the best and then finding out you have a leak and need to evacuate and recharge the system. This worked great for me and I'm really glad I ended up purchasing it as I've used it 3 times already and If I know someone who is installing a mini split , I will be able to use it again . Highly recommended.

Great price works great!
Everything worked great!!The unit comes in one medium box, with the pump in one smaller box and the gauge manifold and hoses in another. This was great because the adapters I needed for the split HVAC came with it, along with a bottle of oil the compressor needed. If I had any issues, it would be that the oil supplied just filled it up to just over half way according to the sight window.I’m not an HVAC guy, so I bought this to use two or three times, instead of paying an HVAC service to come out and check/test the install of the split unit I just installed in my shed and needed this to make sure the lines were good. Good thing I did too! I had a leaking connector, that I had to cut off and re-flare the end on the tubing. I think I saved myself a couple hundred dollars on this install alone. So bottom line: I would buy it again in a heartbeat. For my needs, it will work great!

Affordable Start-up Vacuum Pump
I recently installed a mini-split unit at my home. I consider myself a handy person and decided to do the entire thing myself. Anything worth doing is worth doing right so I made the decision to purchase a pump to evacuate the lines. As an HVAC technician told me, moisture is the enemy to your unit. Most pre-charged mini-split manufactures state that you can put the fittings on and then charge the lines. I was worried about potential small leaks and the longevity of the mini-split.This pump comes with everything you need to vacuum out the lines. Make sure before starting that it is filled with the supplied oil. Simply adjust the gauges as required, and turn on the unit. I let mine run for about an hour, closed the gauge, and turned it off. The nice thing about having the pump and gauges is I could leave it for the next 24 hours to see if it held the vacuum, or if there was a tiny leak. Thankfully, it let me know that the install was correct, and I don’t have to worry about any moisture in my lines. This more than paid for itself when you consider the cost of having someone come out and do it for you professionally. Now that my friends know I have one, they are all asking to borrow it.

Great for mini-split! This is what you need!
I found nothing I didn't like about this well made kit. It worked to install my mini split which saved me hundreds. Easy to use and no leaks found. If you have to charge your unit, you may need an adapter for the type refrigerant you use. Nice storage bag heavy duty canvas and heavy duty zippers. I would have liked more of the oil for the pump, but it did fill to the halfway mark, so I have no clue how it uses oil, but it was good for my one use and probably the lifetime... I'm probably wanting too much. So, save some money, watch a Youtube mini split install video, and follow that for your install. This will also help to charge your auto a/c, but I have no idea how to do that. But, now, I'm an expert at pulling and holding a vacuum on a mini split and opening the valves to release the precharged refrigerant. GET IT...

BACOENG 3.6CFM Vacuum Pump and Gauge set works great.
I order this unit so I could use it when replacing the compressor on our 2019 Chevy Impala premier 3.6l and it worked great. I've only used it once so I can't say how long it would hold up to a commercial use application, but for DIY person it is perfect.

Only produces-12 PSI of vacuum
Although other reviewers have indicated successfully using this pump for mini-split installations,, mine only produces -12 PSI, instead of the -17.4 PSI required to evacuate the lines on ny new pre-pressurized mini-split.As other reviewers have, mentioned, the manifold gauge connectors and adapters appear to be unreliable and leak.I have also purchased a similar 1/3 hp vacuum pump from the same mfr as an upgrade, but it still only produces -12 PSIUpon closer examination, I noticed that the product page only claims 0.8Pa . Pa = Pascal, a unit of measure so small that most people have never heard of it. 1 Pa = 0.000145038 PSI, therefore 0.8 Pa = only 0.00011603 PSI. If you search hard enough, the upgraded pump touts only 5Pa,.I'm discussing these matters with the mfr's customer service, who have escalated the issue to their engineers for clarification.
