Excellent to deal with and would highly recommend

A very good audio collection of Poe's most famous short stories: The Pit and The Pendulum, The Black Cat, The Facts in The Case of M.Valdemar, The Tell-Tale Heart, etc. Now don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against Basil Rathbone's performance, he is superb reading the stories, but he has GOT FIFTEEN OF THEM! while poor old Vincent Price only gets FIVE!! and not so famous stories at that. Surely, in a collection of 20 Poe stories and poems, each actor should have been given 10 each, some famous ones, some poems, and some lesser ones, it would have made for a more balanced collection. As it is, the title on the C.D. box should read as my headline. If you're a fan of Vincent Price, I'm afraid you won't get much of him in this collection!

An excellent selection of Poe tales from the 2 very best exponents of his work, the majesty in both their voices reading these needs to be heard by any fan of Poe, a great product, highly recommended.

Great stories but as with other viewers I was frustrated with recording because it is difficult to know where one story ends and starts.

Hours of Edgar Alan Poe read by Basil Rathbone and Vincent Price. Pity that VP does not get to read The Raven, but the whole package is great. The two readers bring all the tales to life. Listening on headphones is a truely chilling experience!I think that the whole package was great value for the money.
