I love this pot so much I wish I had 4 or 5, lol. I use it to heat water when I'm canning etc. Perfect for frying eggrolls and shrimp without having to use a ton of oil in a pan to get grease to cover food. This works because it's tall. We use the lil basket for all kinds of stuff. I'm so happy!!

I purchased this pot to dump my used oil in to cool off in a safe container before being discarded. However, after receiving it, I quickly realized that it can be used for way more than that. This has allowed my deep fryer oil to last longer, because I can strain out any remaining food particles and be left with "clean" oil for future use. The instructions state that you can cook with it, but I haven't done that yet. It is a very high quality pot with a thick bottom, so I wouldn't hesitate to cook in it if the need arises.

Careful not to burn yourself, heats up very quickly

While the descriptions indicated this was for all stove types and one of the pictures seemed to indicate an induction burner, I can confirm this is not magnetic and is not suitable for an induction stove. I wish it worked on my stove, but it doesn't! So it must be returned.

I bought this to clean my cooking oil to reuse later. Overall it’s a very sturdy build device. I gave it 4 stars because it does not completely filter out the particles in the oil. Did not buy it for frying so can’t speak to that. I feel like it’d be a good fryer for small foodsI recommend scrubbing the pot and lid with a towel or paper towel after washing. After washing with soap and hot water there was still residue on the surface.
