Coiled lead works great.

I needed a 6' but since the reviews said it is difficult to extend I took the 8' version and that is working great between my RV and Toad. It is heavy and extension is quite difficult but working great for me.

I wired this plug in, and found that the wire colors are not standard. Due to this I had to map the wire colors with a volt meter. This is not a deal breaker for me as I would have checked them anyway. The biggest problem is the male plug will NOT fit a standard female receptacle! This makes this plug completely useless, as I am not going to change all of the 7 pin female plug on my truck or someone else's truck who may your my trailer. Do not buy this unless you already have the non standard female plug installed on your vehicle and/or your willing to change to this plug.

It's a nice pigtail but I had to use my meter to figure out the pattern because it didn't match

Used between my RV and Toad..... added my own 6 way to the other end...... wont stretch 8 feet.... perfect for 4-6 feet

easy to install. Works great for any fifth wheel campers and trailers.

This plug (trailer side) fits poorly into the vehicle side, very loose connection, even with the retainer clip molded in, Ram 2500, 2022 model. I have three goosenecks that have the same style trailer end, all are better than this one. The wireing pattern and color code follows no industry standards. The heavier guage wires, constant 12v and ground, cannot be use as as configured as they will not allign the the standard pattern for vehicle side. You better be handy with 12v DC, I am and still took an hour and an multimeter to get it correct. Buy a better quality and you can just go color to color and move on with you day - wish i had.
