Ours does not. And he is very fussy. **Q: How fast do you see an improvement?** A: I should think each dog could be different but with Scout he was looking more comfortable within a day of taking the Lypex. The medicine of choice at the VET was non-endemic coated powder which made her life a misery, I changed her to LYPEX which is excellent and does not scour her throat with every meal. She now has a full and very active life with her two 5 year old pups, she is at 9 still the matriarch of the pack.
