A little powerhouse of a simple coffeemaker.
All I wanted was a normal, basic, full-sized, reliable coffeemaker that just had an on/off switch. No touchscreens with endless options, LEDs, and alarms. That was the main reason I bought this specific model. It arrived today. I washed it out, filled it up with water and my normal coffee ratio of 1 heaping scoop to every four cups of water. I turned it on. It started brewing IMMEDIATELY. I mean, not like I walked into the other room and heard it start brewing soon. I mean, I turned on the switch, and it immediately started brewing. I stepped away to do something else for five minutes, and when I came back, it was already done. All 12 cups of coffee. A full pot of coffee. It was also pretty quiet. No hissing or screaming. And, it tastes delicious. I mentioned my personal coffee ratio above, and anyone who knows anything about brewing coffee knows that the temperature that you brew it at makes a big difference, and, while I don't know what temperature this coffeemaker is brewing the coffee at, it's apparently the exact correct temperature for hot-brewed coffee. Anyway, this seems to be a good, solid, productive coffeemaker. No extra whistles and streamers. Just a machine that brews good coffee. 'Nuff said.

DEFECTIVE HOTPLATE
While I've given this coffee maker the maximum stars for flavor and ease of cleaning and use, I'd never buy it again (nor any other Mixpresso product) nor recommend it to others, based mainly upon the hotplate (where the glass carafe rests) that either arrived defective (unnoticed) or became defective within a week or so after the coffee maker was first used, which is when I first noticed it (I purchased it in January 2020 but I didn't use it for the first time until May 2020). Unlike every other manufacturer's coffee maker I've ever used, the hotplate on this one is detached from the coffee maker, slanted and, when pressed down, it springs back. I don't think this is the way it's supposed to be and I worry it's a fire hazard. Therefore, I'm throwing it away and ordering another coffee maker from a different manufacturer altogether. Based upon this experience (my first and only with Mixpresso), I have no confidence in their products. Their customer service department offered me a free replacement of this same coffee maker but, for the reason I've already explained, I don't want another coffee maker from them, I want a refund of my purchase price, which they aren't willing to do. I just want everyone who's thinking about purchasing this coffee maker to be aware of the hotplate defect on mine. My additional complaints (although, by comparison, are minor) are: 1) the white numbers on the glass carafe indicating the cup levels are difficult to read, 2) the water level indicator is on one side of the coffee maker only, not on both sides as has always been my experience with coffee makers from other manufacturers, 3) the red off/on button looks bright red even when it's in the off position, making it necessary to be on top of the coffee maker in order to make sure the last person who used it had remembered to turn it off, 4) the coffee doesn't pour into the cup without some of it falling onto the countertop. I gave this Mixpresso coffee maker a try because every Mr. Coffee coffee maker I've used lasted only 12-18 months before its innards became so clogged (despite proper cleaning) that it stopped working altogether (plus, every hotplate peeled and rusted long before the coffee maker had become totally clogged). Even with a relatively inexpensive coffee maker, I expect it to last a lot longer than 12-18 months. So I'm finished with both Mixpresso and Mr. Coffee and now I'm going to give Gevi a try (I ordered it yesterday on Amazon's website).

The Little Coffee Maker That Could
I prefer cone-style machines, and they've become increasingly rare. It's cheaply constructed, but it does work well and makes great coffee. I didn't have to make any adjustments to water or coffee amounts compared to a 12-cup machine I have. And the decanter isn't flimsy as some claim, compared to previous small coffee makers I've owned, and doesn't spill coffee from the spout if you lift the lid a little while pouring. I hope it lasts.

It does what it was made to do.
What can I say? IT's a basic coffee maker and that's EXACTLY what I wanted. I don't need something with alarms and wifi. I'm 29 btw, and I literally just wanted something to brew coffee and this delivers. I'm not some angry old man that hates all technology, I do hate most technology lol, but this thing DELIVERED. The coffee is made quick, it's hot, its tasty, and the system is easy to clean. 5 stars and 10/10 from me. Easy to use, looks nice, and it's not quiet or loud haha.

Lasts about 6 months
Heating element lasts about 6 months with daily use. I keep an extra on hand. For some unknown reason, about once a month the drain to the pot closes mid-fill and overflows onto the counter with current one. Less reliable than past purchases of same item. I like the screen that holds the grinds; beats paper filters; thats why I stay with this brand.

Simple, basic, inexpensive, makes good coffee
It does not have a clock, programming feature, or even auto shutoff. Any of those, especially the latter, would be a dealbreaker for many. I don't mind: I have had other simple, basic coffeemakers and I plug them into a timer that can be set for 6 different On times from 15 minutes to 6 hours. I push the 2 hours button and that solves the shutoff worries for me. This uses cone filters, which I prefer. It can also be used with just its fine mesh filter. I set the paper filter in the mesh filter. It's easy to remove either or both for cleaning. The carafe is a bit thicker glass than I am used to. The coffee pours easily without spilling. The drip shutoff works as well as any I've used, better than some. And the coffee is good and hot. I ordered a 10 cup model, but got an 8 cup model that is different from the 8 cup (more complicated) model that is in the pictures on the Amazon product page. These errors are not good things, but I decided to keep this and not bother with a return.

This is a basic coffee maker. All it does is turn on and brew coffee and keep it hot until you turn it off. It does nothing more, nothing less. It does what it does well. If you need more in a coffee maker don't buy this. If all you want is a dummy-proof coffee maker this product is a good price and has held up well so far for me.

I bought the 5 Cup coffee maker for my office and it makes the perfect amount to fill my YETI Rambler. This is easy to use and is a decent quality for the price. The box it came in says it's a 6 cup machine, but it's not - it is 5 cups as is advertised. I would highly recommend this product if you're looking for something simple for your office in order to obtain your coffee fix!

Product only suitable for US market although appears on 240v searches in UK Tried to return through Amazon and started getting emails to send elsewhere. Was away and then had Covid, explained this and returned product- refusing refund, they’ve obviously kept product to sell to some other poor sod! Agree with comments it’s cheap and nasty looking, but couldn’t use it as wrong voltage for UK. DO NOT TRUST FOR UK PURCHASES!!!

Pot cracked after 5 uses. Other than that this would have been a great little coffee maker
