Perfect!
This was a great purchase. I love hot tea. It is compact, sturdy and packs nicely in my luggage. I would never use an in room coffee maker and getting a good cup of tea can be very hard. This makes my hotel mornings pleasant because I can make a decent cup of tea. The temperature is perfectly hot, not lukewarm water. The auto shut is great as well, I highly recommend this kettle, especially if tea is your this when traveling.

Travel electric kettle
You need this!! Great electric kettle My newborn takes a formula that needs the water to be warm so I bought this portable cute kettle and it works perfectly! Cant wait to use it at our Disney trip!

Convenient and fast heating. Easy to use.
Convenient little water heater for on the go. You will need a regular outlet. I might look for another that I can use in the car--one with a car adapter. But I knew buying this it didn't have one. This works well and is just what needs to add to my tea mug halfway through my morning. Heats up quick. Haven't run into any issues.

Compact and exactly what I needed!
This little electric kettle is exactly what I needed! It’s the size of a small/medium water bottle and it’s so easy to travel with; it fits in my backpack’s water bottle sleeve and the cord fits inside it, so it’s very compact. It’s been invaluable to me in making instant coffee, hot tea, instant oatmeal, and even dehydrated meals when I’m on the go. I’m so glad I purchased this!

Longish boil time
Takes almost 11 minutes to boil the full 400 ml. Haven’t timed the other temps. This is a cute, portable kettle that would be easy to pack in a suitcase or bag for travel. We like this for when we know we will be arriving late to our hotel and food options will be closed. We can pack this and a couple freeze dried backpacking type meals for a meal in the room. Also if we want a cup of tea and don’t want to use a possibly gross coffee maker for the water. This kettle just takes a long time to boil water, so starting it right away and getting other things done while it boils is the move. I also like that it has different temperature settings so you can make green tea. Another possible downside to this type of kettle is that it does need to be plugged in. So not really a camping option unless you have electricity—might be great for RVs.

Great traveling companion
I bought this for a trip after reading that the hotel did not have a coffee maker in the room. (Although it turned out that it did.) I like having tea in the evening and a lot of hotels don't have coffee/tea service at nice or else I just don't want to go out of my room to fetch it. Anyhow, the travel kettle fit well into my personal bag for the flight and I set it up in the hotel room bathroom. The kettle takes a few minutes to boil water, it's not fast, maybe five minutes, but it does a good job. There's enough water for one cup of coffee or tea, or hot water for instant cereal, etc. The cord can store inside the kettle for travel, although I took care to wrap it so it wouldn't scratch the interior. When you get the kettle, everything comes shipped inside -- so make sure to look inside before you think the cord is missing! There are a few temperature settings, which is nice because some teas brew best at boiling while others need a lower temperature to avoid being too bitter. It's fairly straightforward to set the temperature. It was supposed to beep three times to tell me that the water was boiled, but it didn't beep at the 212F setting and for the 176F setting it beeped once. This isn't the kind of appliance that you plug in an walk away so the beeping (or not) is not a big deal for me. I boil the water and immediately unplug the kettle. It does have a grounded cord and the cord is long enough for countertop use without being so short that you need to shove the kettle up against the wall to use it. Finally, it looks nice. I have the beige color and it has a bronze/gold stripe that gives it a bit of bling. I probably won't use it very often at home but this has earned a place in my luggage for travel.

Excellent Quality, Perfect For Travelers
This thing is so easy to use -- just touch the (touch sensitive, not mechanical) power button once to turn it on and set it for 212°, twice for 176°, and so forth, then let it do its thing. Both volume and weight come in at exactly 14 ounces -- two cups of coffee or tea, or if you drink it out of a mug like I do, one full mug :) I accidentally dropped this thing onto a wooden floor at a height of about three feet, and it was none the worse for wear -- no marks or dents, and it still worked perfectly fine. There's really not much to it. It's very simple, and quite rugged. I placed an SPL meter right next to the unit, and it topped out at 62db as it approached 160°, then trailed off as the water got hotter (for reference, 62db is conversation level, or a fairly quiet office). It took exactly 7 minutes and 19 seconds to reach 212° Fahrenheit. The cord is 27" long, minus the plugs. The unit gets comfortably warm to the touch, but not hot. The interior is made of aluminum, so you needn't worry about any chemicals leaching into the water. It beeps three times to indicate when it's reached your desired temperature, and automatically shuts off. There's a little caution sticker on top to remind you to wait a minute or so before unscrewing the lid, because of the pressure buildup during the boiling process. If you attempt to remove it immediately, there's a (vanishingly small) chance you could scald your hand due to that pressure buildup. There's a vent at the top to greatly reduce that risk. If you overfill the unit (past the line indicator inside), the excess water WILL escape through that vent and pool around the unit, so don't overfill! My only regret is that I hadn't discovered this thing sooner. When travelling, I have found it to be a Godsend! Very highly recommended for travelers or RVers, etc. POSTSCRIPT: Amazon is reminding me to remark on its color and smell. There is no smell at all, either the unit itself or when in use. The color is a sort of off-white. I have seen some users express a desire to see this thing in different colors, so maybe the manufacturer will take note and make it available in other colors!
