Ergodyne Chill Its 6700CT Cooling Bandana, Lined with Evaporative PVA Material for Fast Cooling Relief, Tie for Adjustable Fit, Black, Each

Stayed very cool for a good amount of time and when it got warm, just shoknit around and it got cool again. Used it all summer!

Was a little sceptical about the item but it works just as listed. Simple, elegant, and excellent buy!!!

These are 2 very different products based on the same principle - evaporative cooling. Evaporative cooling works the best in dry climates (think Arizona), and has the least effect in humid climates (think Florida). Ergodyne Chill-Its 6700CT Evaporative Cooling Bandana with Cooling Towel (this product). The "CT" is does not contain the absorbent beads, but does have a microfiber towel on the inside of the "bandana" which (supposedly) increases its evaporation rate and therefore its cooling rate. It is much lighter than the 6700 (and all of similar technology). The Ergodyne Chill-Its 6700 Evaporative Cooling Bandana - Tie Ergodyne Chill-Its 6700 Evaporative Cooling Bandana - Tie, Solid Blue The 6700 is similar to most all the other cooling bandanas that contain gel beads which absorb water and release it slowly. There are many of these products on the market and they seem to differ mostly on the amount of absorbent beads they contain. This particular model is more generous bead wise than many. "Which one is better?" is subjective and is largely dependent upon your access to cold water, how long you intend to use it, and how much the excess weight (of the hydrated beads) bothers you. For occasional use you should also consider the tried and true cowboy version of the same concept: the standard cotton bandana dipped in cold water. The 6700 will last by far the longest as moderate cooling properties go. As with all of these genera, they do tend to warm up and their cooling is less pronounced over time (as the day progresses); recommended if you want some all day cooling without refreshing the bandana. The downside is you have a heavy thing around your neck and that it may emit a (very light) slime that some find offensive. The slime is minimal and can be avoided by not overhydrating the "bandana" (think Viagra warning), or freezing it. The 6700CT may be preferred by anyone who is bothered by the weight and/or potential "slime" of absorbent gel "bandanas" and has more access to cooling water during the day. It seems to stay a little cooler longer than a plain cotton bandana (dipped and wrong out), but not much. hth, high

It worked but not long. Have to continue to put in cold water. Cold towels last longer.

My son is wearing a cooling cap purchased from amazon so he wears this around his neck and he says this really helps to keep him cool just wet and ringout and your ready to go!

Not sure why this gets good reviews. I used it this weekend for the first during the protests. Didn't keep me cooled down & does not last long. Then washing them by hand to get the sweat off, the blue inside is falling apart. Wish I had stuck with the bandana types that swell with water that I have bought before.

Also ich hatte es mir grösser,breiter vorgestellt. Sieht aus wie ein Haarband .Das ging gleich zurück, weil es aus meiner Sicht Blödsinn ist.Da kann ich mir auch ein Kühlumschlag mit dem Geschirrtuch machen oder sonst irgendwas. Ich finde Quatsch.

Antes que nada, la calidad del producto es excelente. La versión que adquirí es de color reflejante y brilla bajo el sol. Funciona tal como lo dice el video de instrucciones. Se requiere sumergir la porción que tiene el material de color azul en AGUA CON HIELO (el agua de la llave o sólamente fria no funcionan). NO SE DEBE DE PONER EN EL REFRIGERADOR. Luego de los 3 minutos en el agua con hielo se exprime y se debe de agitar en el aire como una honda por un par de minutos. La sensacion térmica se activa conforme el aire circula alrededor de la tela, es decir en exteriores o con un abanico. Funciona perfectamente y la sensación refrescante dura aproximadamente 3 horas. Es muy agradable, como tener un hielo en el cuello, pero sin estar mojado. Cuando se desee incrementar la sensación solo hay que mover la cabeza haca atrás, para que frote la piel del cuello, lo cual se puede repetir todas las ocasiones que se desee. No funciona bien en lugares con mucha humedad ambiental como el centro y sur de México, sino en lugares con calor seco, como es mi caso. Cuando ya esta menos frio, se coloca de nuevo en el agua con hielo, se reactiva agitandolo y listo. Estoy muy satisfecho, y pienso adquirir otras dos, aparte de las dos que compré. Como comentario ameno, no se debe de lavar en maquina o poner en secadora porque lo daña. Se lava a mano con jabon neutro. Ponerlo en el refrigerador daña permanentemente el material y pierde su habilidad para enfriar, cosa que valio la pena que me enterara viendo un foro, así que evite hacer eso.

I bought this for my husband to use on a family holiday trip to Florida. My husband's body does not do well in the extreme heat. I bought this for him and well what a great product this allowed him to stay out in the heat not feel like headed or have a seizure due to the heat it was great well worth the money and would strongly recommended to anyone else who experiences the same issues. This wrap kept my husband cool, it didn't give him a headache and it didn't give him a neck ache nothing like that it did what it was supposed to do and it was fabulous.

In the heat they do dry out so need water on hand to reset. Not a big deal for the benefit you get.
