Great for baking. Full-flavored yet subtle.
This is the best kosher salt I have found, and I've tried several of them. The smaller but diamond-shaped grind allows it to dissolve well in liquid. It tastes great both on raw foods and in casseroles and baked goods. I love the taste on raw vegetables so much more than other kosher salts because it's more subtle, yet still clearly there.

Finishing salt
This is a gentle fine flake salt. It is the perfect finish on all foods. I gently sprinkle it on top of cookies after it is baked to bring out the sweet flavor of the cookie and pair with the sweet in the cookie. I also used it on my breads and savory dishes. Delicious in recipes and on top of meats for extra flavor. I just ordered this salt for the second time. It makes food taste amazing, and the structure of the crystals are the most delicious flake I’ve tasted!

Perfect for Grilling – High-Quality Kosher Salt
I bought this specifically to season my ribeyes before grilling, and it was phenomenal. The flavor it adds is excellent, and the texture makes it super easy to spread evenly. Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt is easily the best salt I’ve ever used in my kitchen. The texture is perfect: light, flaky, and easy to pinch. It makes seasoning by feel more precise and enjoyable. It dissolves quickly and evenly, and the flavor is clean and balanced without the harshness or bitterness that some other salts can bring. What sets it apart is how forgiving it is. Because of the larger flakes and lower density, it’s much harder to accidentally oversalt your food. Most professional chefs and cookbooks that mention “kosher salt” are referring specifically to this brand. This is an essential item in my pantry. If you’re still using table salt or another dense kosher salt, it’s worth making the switch. You’ll notice the difference immediately.

I learnt this salt after reading the book «Ruhlman's Twenty: The Ideas and Techniques That Will Make You a Better Cook». Now this is the only salt I use in my daily cooking and diet. You don't need a grinder for this salt because it's already in small flakes. On the other hand, it's kind of coarse salt - the density of about twice of most other salts and it's still very pure salt. Thus to archive the same salty level you need to put twice volumes than other salts - and in this way you have more precise control over the salty levels. Beside cooking, it's also suitable as table salts - the taste of raw salts is great.
