Buy the real deal! I thought I found a great deal on a battery for my Bosch tools. Unfortunately I didn't look closely and it was an off brand battery. Looked pretty much the same - but it wasn't. Of the two 8 ah batteries I bought one wouldn't take a charge at all and the other would take a charge but only last for about 10 minutes of use. I finally bit the bullet and disposed of the bad batteries and bought new, Bosch brand batteries. Such a relief to have them last as they should. Don't cheap out because it isn't cheaper in the long run.

As an avid Bosh Tool fan I was excited for the release of the 8.0ah Core 18V battery. I predominately use this battery for my everyday tools (Recip saw and my Freak (Impact driver) two weeks in now the battery stands up and runs longer than anything I've owned before. The power is consistent right up until the battery dies and it holds its charge for quite a while. In two weeks of regular daily use on my impact I've only had to charge this battery twice. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to up their power game on their tools. The only drawback is that it doesn't fit on the cordless handheld circular saw. The size of the battery means that the saw cannot cut full depth. If you are looking for a battery for this try the 6.3ah Core 18V it works great in this situation.

This is my first 8.0 battery. It seems to work perfectly. Just a heads up though..I've got 3 dif 18v Bosch chargers. I first put it on the one that has a fan built in...15min later i see red light on..so i took off and put it onto i think BC630.. whichever one is listed right on the battery..and it charged fine.so whatever. Now just wait for the 12.0 amp battery to come out.. UPDATE: THESE 8.0 BATTS WENT ON SALE FOR $118.99 SO I BOUGHT ANOTHER...it woulda been rude not to. Both work well on any tool I've put em on so far..can't wait for summer to toss one of these onto the cordless weed annihilator i modified to now run off Bosch batteries..this is the third one I've modified. Ski on the snow just don't sniff yourself off that cliff. **UPDATE:it's been quite awhile since I got these and they work great still. I'm now on my 5th modified weed whacker and just modified a mini chainsaw to run off any of my Bosch 18v lithium batteries..
