I bought this adapter from my 2014 Dodge Durango RT, insulation was pretty straightforward and easy, just follow the instructions.I found it easier to remove the entire rearview mirror to install the adapter, but that was easy since it was a matter of just twisting to the right to remove And then twisting to the left to install.It works great with no cables dangling or having to remove the headliner.I did email the company first to ensure I was getting the right adapter for my vehicle

Worked perfect with n my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have a dash cam and radar detector hooked up.

Installed in a 2024 Grand Cherokee L Linited. The kit comes with everything you need to install the power adapter. The larger (orange) pry tool is to help remove the housing and the smaller (blue) pry tool is to push in the locking mechanism in the OEM connector to disengage and disconnect it. I routed the adapter and wiring towards the bottom of the housing since there's a large gap at the bottom for the USB cable. You can also route it towards the mirror where there's a gap, but there would be too much of the USB cable showing, which kind of defeats the purpose of using this kit. Also that route significantly reduces the slack of the USB cable.The only issue I have about the kit is that they did not include some high temperature resistant tape to help insulate the wires. The location of the mirror housing is usually covered by black film on the windshield to hide the wires, so the inside of the housing captures a ton of heat. If you notice, all the OEM wires are insulated. It's not a big deal - I'll pick up a roll and insulate the wires.

This powers my dashcam nicely and everything hooked up easily. The only real problem I had was fitting everything inside of the rearview mirror housing. The voltage converter takes up a lot of room, so I wasn't able to completely put the mirror housing back on. It's on good enough though.

Ok this was great! hid my wires inside the housing of my 14 grand cherokee for the new dash cam i bought. easy to install and came with several "extra" wires i didn't need. FANTASTIC!!!well worth the money (not that it was that expensive to start). If you want a clean install with no wires hanging BUY THIS KIT!!!

Don’t feet right

This is exactly what I was looking for, I did not want to mess with the mirror connector for sake of messing with the electric warranty of the vehicle. It was very easy to open the mirror case and unplug everything, there's a couple of guides in YouTube that helped tremendously.Whole install took like 5 minutes and that includes making sure to place all the cables in the right spot so nothing was peeking out. I liked that you can get a second USB adapter if needed for an additional product, or a simple 12v line if you want to plug maybe a radar detector etc. They offer to send additional cables and the 2nd adapter if needed.So far everything is working fine and don't see any issues with it. The mirror feeds from the ignition, so it will auto power off when you turn off the vehicle so no need to worry of battery getting drained.
