Bathroom Toilet Soap Dish/Holder, Self Adhesive OR Screws Mounting, Stainless Steel 18/10, Polished Finish, Made in EU, 20 Years Warranty

I haven’t put on bathroom tiles yet - as I have some serious concerns. Item arrived in a flimsy damaged box with thin see through film so item could be plainly seen.No instructions in box for sticking on wall if using adhesive (which is what I plan to do). Only instructions available for screwing on wall. Two small sheets stapled together - one was the guarantee and other was the fixing with screw instructions.However far more importantly (as per photo images included) - I was somewhat surprised to see the silver base of the soap dish NOT attached to the sticky part - is this how it should be by design or is this a faulty item ?I am concerned that when attaching to the wall - the soap disk will be loose and move around from the base - not the wall. Therefore quality of product looks very flimsy.No glue provided to stick base to wall section .Additionally the adhesive pad for the wall was extremely thin and nothing like the 3M adhesive quality padding of a set of adhesive hooks previously bought. I am therefore VERY disappointed in quality and appearance.If I were to return the item - I wonder if the courier delivering the replacement item could take this item from me to return back to you - without my having to take it to an authorised returns shop or post office - please advise.I bought the matching toothbrush holder due to arrive tomorrow but this Kapstan make had a more expensive by £10 joint toothbrush holder and soap dish in one and I am wondering if that item would be better quality.I look forward to hearing from you on the above.Many thanks.An unhappy customer.....I have changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars - having received several answers to my question telling me the end is meant to be loose and getting the same make toilet holder which also had a loose end - it is clearly by design.Both items have been on my wall a few days now and look okay. Whilst the fitting of the toilet brush holder went smoothly - sadly when fitting the soap dish - the loose base at the bottom of the fitting kept bouncing back from the wall fitting.I had to use guerilla glue to glue the base to the wall fixing. I am pleased to say this problem didn’t arise with the toothbrush holder.Anyway all is sorted now :)

For the price, which after all said and done, is a soap holder!! I found the quality lacking. The metal parts are cheap and bendy and not what I expected. The glue pad was not great and I had to heat it up for quite some time to finally get it to stick to the tile. Will now wait 72 hours !! before I can insert the little glass soap dish and see if it stays on the wall. Always beware of any ‘smallish’ product which says ‘wait 72 hours before use’ as it is an indication of just how sturdy and reliable the product actually is. Most small good products normally require only 12 to 24 hours maximum before use. After waiting72 hours the glue still did not stick to the very clean tile! Rather than return it am using it as a freestanding soap dish. I haven’t given up yet and will try and see if I can glue it to the tile with one of the hard as nails type of adhesive.

I didn't need to use the self-adhesive for the soap holder (as I intended), as I found the screw holes for the previous holder could be used for this one. Consequently, the fitting was easy. But it was good to have both options.The soap holder is held in place by 2 retaining screws that you tighten into the base which is screwed into the wall. (We'll see if the holder remains in place or moves slightly to one side.)It was useful to see the short videos illustrating both means of fitting.

Adhesion to the wall was very poor, within 5 mins it fell off the wall and smashed to piecesI wanted the stick on as I didn’t want to damage my tiles. I also purchased the toothbrush holder which I will be returning

A further purchase of a Kapitan product. Minimalist design but with the best fittings I've found especially with the use of two grub screws (many bathroom/kitchen fittings have just one and work loose !) Top product for appearance and value. Would look for other Kapitan products as I work through the house with re decorations.

Good quality soap dish. Unsure about the adhesive as we preferred to use the screws. We have only just received & installed it so will tell whether the chrome stands the test of time. Happy so far though.

DO NOT BUY! It seems that I have the wrong parts! The bolt was too short to screw into the support support and a solid strangely shaped plastic plug was included but not mentioned in the instructions (just pictures) All flimsy mickey-mouse materials.

Generally good, but the tape doesn't work with our tiles.I used the recommended method with the included pad, which lasted 2 days, then a different 3m pad, which lasted 3-4 days, then 2 types of VHB tape which also failed. Perhaps its just too much weight for this pad size on certain tiles (which aren't completely flat & must have a surface that doesn't suit these adhesives).Great product, but doesn't suit all tiles with adhesive tape as attachment method.
