Happy with this Harness
This seems to be a very sturdy harness and a Medium also seems perfect for our 43 lb. Belgian Malinois dog. She, like many other dogs listed in the reviews, fell right at the cusp of a Small to Medium with a 27 inch chest. But it seems to fit her well and I'm glad that we got a Medium. I will update more as I use the product. She is a major puller.Update: Okay, with several walks in, I can say now that I do really like this harness. Here is what we did. I got a long (8 ft.) leash with connectors at both ends and several buckle options along the leash (Heavy Duty Multi Function Leash). I looped one end around my waist and put the other on the front loop of the harness. Now my dog's pulling is on my waist area, not on my arm.I used a separate leash to connect to the harness's back metal loop. It worked great. My new dog is a huge puller (only 43 lbs but very strong) and the pulling is absorbed by my waist rather than my arms and shoulders. I can honestly say that I actually enjoyed today's walk ... unlike the previous walks we've been on. The harness does very well. It does shift to one side a little but I don't see any way that this can be helped. I also feel better have two separate connection points using two leashes. If I fall and drop the leash in my hand, we are still connected. If the front loop failed, the back is still connected by a separate leash. And since I'm only holding one leash, it feels more like a normal walk. I think that we found our solution finally!!!!

Converted my pulling dog into a pleasant walker
Our 50 pound puppy liked to pull on walks, he was a power puller. I've been training him to walk with me, and that has been helping. But other family members are not into training. This Front Range dog harness has made a dramatic change in dog walks. We attach the leash to the front of the harness, and pulling stopped instantly, with myself and all family members. It's comfortable enough that the puppy willingly allows us to put it on, and he has not once scratched at it when wearing it. Sometimes we leave it on after the walk and he has not shown any discomfort with it. This was a great addition to the puppy gear. It fits well and looks great too.

This is a high quality harness. Its fit may depend on your dog's body type
It is important to measure your dog's chest prior to selecting a size.I bought this specifically to have a sturdy harness to hook into a seat-belt strap and am pleased with it. It was recommended by my daughter in law who is still using the same ones she bought 6 years ago for her terriers. My 14lb Morkie has learned that she can back out of hers but not easily. She wears an XS size, which I would have not chosen if I had not measured her. It is adjusted as small as possible around her neck and as large as possible around her belly.

Well Made Harness
This is the third RuffWear harness we have purchased in almost 20 years. The only reason we bought a new one is our newest dog got hold of his and chewed it up. These are well made. Easy for you to custom fit it to your dog. We use the back hook to hook them in the car too.

Needs more measurement points
This harness is clearly well made, but could use more measurement info for being a $50 dog harness. My dog's girth is 15" and should fill out the XXS fairly well with some room to grow, but the bottom middle section is so loose and hangs away from my dog's body. To get the chest area fitting well, it has to be so tight around my dog's neck it cannot slide over her head. And given my dog is at the upper end of the girth range, I expected it not need as much tightening as it did. Adding neck measurements or even measurements of the harness itself in other areas, could have saved me this trial and error. One walk has rendered the harness dirty, and my dog might have a little growing left in her, so I don't want to immediately return it. But I would not buy another ruffwear without more measurements being made available, as it should have fit well based on what the directions advised.

One of the best on the market
This is my 3rd Ruffland front range harness, and I just keep buying more to get them in different colors. I don’t think I will ever own a harness that isn’t Ruffland brand. This harness blows any harness you could find at Petco or Petsmart out of the water. My other ruffland harnesses are going on 2 years old and still look like they could be brand new, minus some hair. And I have active dogs that swim, roll around, and roughhouse in the harnesses. This harness is super sturdy, and super adjustable which is a huge plus for my small neck/wide body beagle mix. I love all the different colors they come in, and how weather resistant they are. Overall would 10/10 recommend to any dog owner

Great Everyday Dog Harness
Bought as our every-day walking harness for our Golden Retriever, who like to wander and sniff about on our twice-daily walks. This harness keeps her under control better than any harness I have ever used. Very sturdy construction also.

Durable, love the front loop, rear buckle only
We love this one. The front loop immediately helped with puppy training and leash pulls. If you want a harness with a buckle behind the shoulders and at the neck, then get the hi-and-light from Ruffwear.

Nice harness
Bought for my 7kg Tibetan spaniel in XS as per size chart. It’s a great fit and easy on and off. Love the colour and hidden pocket for tags. There’s 2 clip points and feels quite secure around my dog. Price compares to vendor except free S&H from Amazon.

I love my Ruffwear gear
These harnesses are my absolute favourite. I have one for each of my dogs and recommend them often to clients. They are fairly adjustable, so fit lots of different breed dogs and the padding is soft so doesn’t cause chaffing. I love that they have a front clip as well as a back clip and they do not restrict shoulder movement. Will probably end up buying more in different colours 😂

Excellent quality of material, clasps and fit.
I've been using these harnesses for 8 years on my dogs. I just got a new one for my 8 month puppy. I ordered the wrong size, there was no problem returning it and getting the proper size. Not only is the quality excellent, the harness fits across the chest, so no pressure on the dog's neck.

Best harness by far for sure
I have tried a few different harnesses for my 10 pound Pug Pomeranian cross and this one fits him very well. It's easy to adjust, easy to take on and off, sturdy and comfortable for him.

High quality product
I love the material and the fit of the product. I took picture when we were trying it on . It fitted well, and looks comfortable for my fur baby. I'll be putting it on her when I take her for a walk.
