## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I replace my old one myself or do I need a plumber**
A: Yes you can if you've got a little bit of DIY experience. You need a decent pipe cutter (I use a 15mm 'pipe slice' cutter that makes a need easy cut - costs about £9). The push fit fittings just push straight onto the pipe.

**Q: how long do they last**
A: I bought this to replace one that was fitted with a new boiler. The old one started to leak after 8 years.

**Q: Can I use on electric shower.**
A: I havnt used mine yet. However it Should be able to be used on any 15mm cold water pipe. So providing you have the space for it on the pipe work before the shower then yes.

**Q: Is this a direct replacement for 491591?**
A: Not sure I replace it with the same one

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Availability
*by J***E on 3 July 2024*

Nice compact filter unit bought it to replace existing one on new hot water heater.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Do these work?
*by T***E on 14 March 2020*

Nicely made and presuming they do what the blurb tells you, a great idea to protect a boiler. Most combi boiler manufacturers mention using one in the installation booklets so when my original needed replacement (it started leaking) I replaced like for like.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent

It’s perfect I have used it before it’s good
