I got this kit because my husband has terrible tonsil stones and the ENT booked his tonsillectomy a couple of months out. To manage his breath and prevent infections from occurring, I try to remove them myself when I can. Using a plain ole Qtip was just not working so I got this in hopes it would make it easier. The light attachment has helped a lot. I only use the longest attachment because I have no clue what to do with the one piece that looks like a tweezer and the other one is too long. If the attachment I use was longer, it would be perfect. I don't know how to say this without sounding funny but his tonsils are far back with deep pits that the tonsil stones made and I'm having to shove my hand deep in his mouth. We always end up laughing our butts off every time from the awkwardness of my fist being in his mouth. I give this an 8/10 rating, would be a 10/10 if the attachment was longer and if it came with replacement batteries for the light piece, not that I would know how to replace it anyways.

I honestly only went with this kit because of the long swabs but I ended up using every tool at some point to dislodge my frequent stones. The long stick swabs are great and a lot less “fluffy” than normal cotton swabs that I used to use. Perfect for pushing on tonsils and forcing the stones out of their hiding spaces The metal tool is perfect for getting in the deep crevices of the tonsils and extracting the stones The light on the little tool is a bit weak, I still use my flashlight, but it helps get a little more light in some angles where the phone light doesn’t reach so that is helpful. The syringe is also a fantastic tool. I wish it held more water, I feel like it takes 4-5 refills to properly clean things out, but still does a great job. All in all, it’s a nice, inexpensive kit that makes it easier to clean out those pesky tonsil stones!

I mainly got this for the lighted handle and plastic picks - which are great. When it comes time to swap out the batteries you pretty much have to take the entire unit apart but you can search for an online video that shows how to put it back together.

This is my 3rd purchase, I have tonsil stones and this is a must have
