Whole Oats for Breakfast
Great taste and texture. Even better than steel cut oats, if that’s possible.

Delicious!
I love Oat Groats which is the oat before it is cut. It’s hearty and nutty and so good for you. You can soak overnight to cut down cooking time, but I find it doesn’t take too long to cook for me. It can be used as breakfast and spiced or flavored like you would oatmeal or make savory and serve as a side dish at any meal. Great texture more like a rice and not mushy. I can no longer find in stores so needs to be ordered.

Growing
We used this as a cover crop and to gain experience growing oats. It germinated quickly and seems to be growing well. The next generation of seed is set. I cannot report on this product’s flavor at this time. For me it was a value as I was worried about breathing in a signify amount of cross contamination plants regular oats.

Delicious! Hot or cold
It's not only a tasty hot cereal for celiacs, with a pleasant chewy texture, but I can use this in recipes as a substitute for pearled barley and tabouli. WIN!

Excellent quality
These groats are excellent quality. I know there are less expensive brands available but for literally $2 more buying these was an easy decision.I like that they’re grown in Montana and the information about the farm is readily available. The groats did not have any hull and I hardly saw any chaff when I rinsed them. Now that’s careful processing!I cook mine by adding them to boiling water and letting them sit over night in an vacuum insulated cooking thermos. Sooo easy! In the morning I drain, rinse, and either pop in the microwave to make them hot or I just eat them cold. I add a lot of ground cinnamon and sometimes raisins.Serving size is a half cup but that is a LOT of groats. I’m full after 1/4 or 1/3 cup. They really do help me feel full a long time too.

Gerbils love this
Gerbils love oats as part of their diet. I add this as part of their food mix. Also, I gave it to them as a treat. I know it is a healthy source of food for them, and use this in place of Cheerios.
