KINGBOLEN BM520 6V 12V 24V Car Battery Tester

I run an automotive repair shop and recently lost my battery/electrical tester so I looked for a quick and easy replacement Until replacing it with a more expensive tester. So when I got the tool, my first thought was, it was not gonna be very accurate, but to my surprise, this tool was extremely easy to use for testing batteries and very accurate!! It also test the starters and alternators for load/ripple. Absolutely amazing deal for the money. Testers that do this many features typically run upwards of $150 and if you want printer with it, obviously it would be that. My only complaint would be that it feels very light and a little bit flimsy so if it fell on floor It would possibly break easily. Lastly, the complaint I have is for the screen. When using outside on a sunny day, there is a lot of glare and it’s very hard to see but if used indoors, it should not be a problem. It would be nice to have some sort of screen or be able to turn up the brightness perhaps. Other than that less than $50 I don’t think there’s anything Anyone could complain about this thing is fantastic and very quick!!! I’m thinking of keeping this in my shop for a bit just to Perform. I’m surprised. I’d rate it 4.5/5

First off, I'll say it does have two things I'd like to have better. The backlight on the screen is weak, especially working in the sun it's hard to see. I also think it would be better if this had an internal battery, as it depends on the car battery for power. However, this is a functional, easy to use tool to have around. I love that it comes in a carrying case. It's going to more portable than my analog tester. In my comparison against the analog tester, it was accurate in it's measurements. It will do a battery health test, charging test, and starting test. Would I buy it again? Yes - but I could have survived fine with my analog tester only. So I will recommend this if it's your first tester, but if you already have an analog unit, you're probably fine without.

nice tester works great

I suppose it works well enough but the week after purchase, I took it out of the case and the screen was broken. Should I expect more from such a low cost unit? Yes! When it comes with a protective case. , damn right! Return won d ow closed and stuck with a P.O.S!!

Went out to my car, turn the key. Nothing on the display. Called my husband to ask him what to do, he said that the battery may have died. Got the service center to replace the battery but decided not to stop there. Purchase this battery tester and now I am equipped in case this happens again to one of our vehicles. I was so excited, I test each battery at home.lol. I know how Kingbolen tools are because my husband has a few of their tools and he swear by their performance. Im glad that I made this purchase.

Range Rovers, like many electronic laden vehicles, are sensitive to weak batteries. This makes it essential that you check your battery’s health before starting down a diagnostic path for something involving electronics. The readings are accurate; I checked this against both a Fluke multimeter and an Autel OBD reader. The health measures are useful adds. Altogether, a worthwhile purchase and addition to the tool box.

This battery tester will test the health of a battery and the charging system on your car to help you diagnose a bad battery from a bad alternator. It does have nice battery clamps and a nice storage case. The only thing that I can think could be improved is the glare on the screen but as far as functionality, it served it's purpose for me

I thought this was defective or at least oversold by saying works on 6V. Reached out to the seller and I was told it won't work on deep cycle but actually it does when tested under quick check. It only goes up to 220 ah in the settings and my battery is 225. Soh (State of health) does show fine but I purchased interstate 6v batteries from Costco and every one of them showed 0%. Took the charger to Costco and every battery on the shelf showed 0% soh, it beats me why 210ah battery from interstate would not show more than 0% soh. Every other gc2 and gc10 battery I tested at our warehouse showed more than 0% soh. Baffled why it's not working on interstate 6v batteries at Costco.
