Warped
A lot of the parts including including the saucer section were warped (No pun intended) which made proper assembly impossible. I quit after assembly and putty work as it was just not up to standards. It took a lot of time to light it (I even lit the photon launcher) and drill all the window holes. Disappointing.

Most poorly-designed model kit I've ever had the displeasure to assemble.
My wife gave me this kit for Christmas. It's now August and still haven't been able to complete it due to the terrible shape and fit of some of the parts. The top and bottom saucer pieces did not line up AT ALL. After about a month's worth of gluing small sections of it together (like, 2" at a time) and clamping the heck out of it I finally got it to stay together, but it took a ton of putty to fill gaps, and a ton of sanding to get rid of the overhang of the starboard side. The struts on each side don't fit flush and have large gaps. Decals were not complete as shown on the box cover. No sensor bands. No drilled windows. I have come so close to throwing this thing across the driveway. But, I'm not going to let it beat me. I will finish it if it kills me. To quote Kahn "To the last, I will grapple with thee... from Hell's heart, I stab at thee! "

Parts don't fit together
I bought this for my husband and when he came to put it together he found that many of the parts don't fit properly and he has had to 'adapt' the model to get it to fit. Also, none of the window holes are drilled out. As many enthusiasts like to light their models (to make them look authentic and aesthetically pleasing) it is very fiddly to drill out hundreds of windows and ports. This is a point potential buyers might want to take into account before purchasing this model.
