Pennington grass mix did sprout patches of grass and it is thick and hearty. However be careful when spreading as it also grew grass in my flower beds! I would buy again.

Make sure you prep your existing grass by thatching and aerating then mix seed well with a good quality top soil; spread evenly and keep moist for a couple of weeks. You should have results in a couple of weeks. Happy spring!🤗👍🏻🌻🌱

Buyer beware! This product had a 0% sprout rate. After weeks of carefully tending the newly seeded fill-in area, there was no result. I contacted Amazon and they said that all refunds were to be handled through the seller. The seller sent me through hoops and trails and still fought honoring their guarantee. They wanted proof of purchase that was not satisfied with the Amazon receipt. So I still tended the "lawn" without success. The company finally budged on their refund to allow a HALF refund. I totally recommend that you take caution in purchasing this faulty defective product. Now, even another month later there are no sprouts.

I had to contact their office for this and was told it was normal to have something other than the grass seed in the bag something about cross contamination. I purchased several bags and all the grass kept coming up with grass blades and something else still not sure what happened and they didn’t even offer to help besides the saying cross contamination. I would not recommend only due to this and the customer service was very helpful.

This seed worked great to start my front lawn all over again. It germinated quickly and is holding up very well.
